No I am not satisfied with the War on Terror, and it can never be totally resolved, because of how endemic religious oriented terrorism is. We can, however, mitigate how pervasive terrorism is, by striking at the root causes of terrorism. Of course the first step in the process is to acknowledge that we cannot engage terrorism the way we address conventional warfare with nation-states. Ultimately religious and social forces undergird terrorism. It is only by being a catalyst for cultural and religious transformation in the Islamic world, that we will be able to minimize terrorism.

The war on terror, like every other war on faith, has always been endless wars from historical antecedents. Thinking of winning the war on terror is believing that the present generation of Muslims would standby and watch, while America and its allies routed out Islam and Muslims from the surface of the earth. It would take a considerable level of bastardisation of Islam before we have a generation of Muslims condoning this kind of attacks on Islamic faith by anyone.

The reality is that as long as there are Muslim faithfuls who truly believe in their reliegion, this war would never end. Because America seems to have pointed out categorically, that it has a case with Muslims and Islam. The present generation of muslims have developed a lot of hatred for America and by extension Americans because of its unfliching support for Israel. If today America starts playing a neutral role in the middle east crisis, there would be a tremendous change in the minds of Muslims, even some of the hardest of hardliners would definately see America as a friend instead of the hitherto enemy impression it has on their minds.

You wrestle terrorism by sturdy intelligence artwork and collaborative policing with allies international huge. you do not label each man or woman who lives in Iraq as a terrorist, which, if Bush would not do this (and that i don't think of he does), extremely some extremely stupid individuals do. the quite a few human beings-on-the-street interviews from all around the rustic teach human beings conserving extremely stupid issues about a thanks to wrestle terrorism - my favourite became the lady who stated she did not care no matter if Iraq became inquisitive about 9/11, she only needed us to bomb those who're from "there". As someone said in yet another question I study at present, struggling with a "warfare on terrorism" is like struggling with a "warfare on flanking maneuvers". You wrestle terrorISTS and not in any respect terrorISM. Terrorism isn't a political "ism" like communism or fascism with a international view - terrorISM is a technique to be countered, no longer a philosophy to be fought.

Yes I am satisfied with what we are doing, but sadly terrorism will never be destroyed. Bush is not an idiot; he just finally did something about the situation. He has his own views just like everyone else in this country that’s what makes this country great. If we live in a utopian society then that means our thoughts will be controlled or we can think freely and have different opinions about ideas, and have people dispute over them. Would an individual rather be forced to feel good or do something yourself and feel good. Sadly we need the bad in order to have a good or else you never know what good really feels like. Look at world war two if that never happened we may not be as close with Europe as we are today. Yes WW2 was bad and no one including me was happy about it happening but you have to look at the horror that happened and people changed. If a country went to war with Germany before WW2 broke out would it you are happy about it? If you were to go back in time and assassinate Hitler before the holocaust, why would you do it he didn't do anything.

A movie comes to mind minority report directed by Seven Spielberg. The character Chief John Anderton (Tom Cruise) stops crimes before they happen and put the person in jail. But why put him in jail for a murder or a crime that he hasn't committed? (Think About That)

If you are someone who likes comics and you like Superman, what would happen if he was put in control of his own country, would the world be like? (Think about it) Read Superman Red Sun and you will know?

Therefore in conclusion terrorism can not be overcome but that’s just my own opinion.

No! I believe there is so much more we can do to destroy this enemy, and if we are committed to war, this is exactly what we should be doing. We should be pinning down the exact sites or country's that are supplying these people and their resources and come down on them, like stink on sh it.!

If we are not prepared to do that, then we are not committed to winning this dawn thing. If that's the case, we better get our collected @sses out of there, because we are accomplishing nothing, by letting the insurgency lead us around like lemmings.

Nobody likes war...but at least we aren't being attacked by terrorists anymore. Truthfully, we should've stopped this much earleir...like after the USS Cole or the American Embassy attacks...but Clinton had other things to do ("Come're Monica"). I'd say due to the fact that we haven't been attacked recently that perhaps we are winning. Or at least we appear to have them on the run because of the lack of attacks on the US...thankfully!
