Yes, definitely. Religion makes people morally lazy and promotes intolerance. When people realize there are no gods, they will have to actually talk about the reasons why something is good or bad instead of defaulting to "My god says so". That pat answer cuts off communication and promotes intolerance towards those who don't follow that god, nor his supposed proclamations.

Not really.

Many need to believe in a god icon in order to lead moral lives.

Technically, there are no gods yet, as a God Realized Aristocracy is still in its formative stages. Further, God Realization is all a matter of degree and no soul can evolve into becoming infinite.

However, there is, was, and always will be a Higher Power: The Light Of The God Force on the Other Side that many Near Death Experiencers report "at the end of the tunnel."

The Light is not just a chemically-induced hallucination from a dying brain but the actual energy of the discarnate dimensions. The Light is nonliving, infinite, and governed by Universal Law that cannot be changed one iota.

Those who are morally corrupt cannot ascend from the lower, hellish dimensions to even a basically spiritual place (the Mid Realms) in The Light - until they reverse their spiritual retardation by paying back the innocents they harmed, by striving to live by The Golden Rule, and by improving upon their ability to love genuinely and deeply.

The Golden Rule:

When humans as a whole "grow up and realize" that there is a Higher Power that is inescapable after death and that they are held accountable for all their actions in life, then this world will become a much better place.

"The choices we make in life matters deeply."

"Life is a golden opportunity to live a spiritual life in a world of darkness."

"Life is very important because how we have lived our life largely determines how far we can go into the light. "

Most certainly. Religion is not what religious leaders make it out to be.
Galileo stated that the earth revolves around the sun; something that the church opposed, the Crusades, Christian missionaries killing Native American Indians for not converting to christianity, Salem witch trials, Jim Jones, David Koresh, Fred Phelps, and others are just a few examples of how religion has been used to killed, persecute, hinder, people who do not share the same beliefs as those who follow religion.

A secular nation is the best nation

Think you got it the wrong way around. The problem is not with God. The problem is with us.

All the problems in the world were not created by God but by man and the devil.

The world will become a safer place only when all of us acknowledge we need God and let Him work. But sadly, many of us rather try to help God but doing crazy things supposedly for his name sake.

Really? So if everyone stops believing in God then no one will commit acts of crime anymore huh? All the drug dealers will vanish and the crime lords and perverts who petal pornography and prostitution will simply give up and go straight. All the drug users will stop robbing for their addictions and stop breaking into homes and everyone will be much safer and happier. Wow! I never knew believing in God was so terrible. We should all quit right now for the sake of future generations! I am Glad not everyone thinks like you or we would all be stuck in the dark ages. Grow up and get real.

No, becuase there is A God controling things and when he takes all true believers off and just leaves the bad ones down here it will be ten times worse as there will be very little restraint to evil doers and very few people working and witth the world ecomiess falling apart evil doers will grow worse and worse as people with decent belief systems and not believing in anything thinking they can get away with anything have the attiude to do what only feels good to them and don't care wether they hurt anyone else much less themselves or not. as this last Generation sucks as they have very little to no moral beliefs and they feel life as no meaning to them and walk around with empty holes in their souls that nothing fills for them.Like you as you feel you have nothing better to do but to cut others down over their beliefs and waste valuable time doing. do something useful for once.

probably not many criminals do not believe there is a god. Many merchants who lie cheat and steal do not believe there is a god. Most politicians do not believe there will be any accountabilty by god so quit blaming the religious for all the worlds woes. There is enough blame to go around for every one. All atheists are not intelectuals and all intellectuals are not atheists and that is just the obvious truth, without even getting into who really is a friend of god versus who has been brainwashed.

huh....i doubt that the world wld come to be a safer place when its realised that there aint a god. Except for terrorist acts most crimes in the country are commited by people who dont belive in the existence of a person called God. Their conscious wont question them and neither will they be afraid of leading the road to perdition with their acts, simply because no one is ever gonna punish them in afterlife.

I think when people become less self centered and self important, realizing that they aren't smarter than other people, then the world will be a safer place.

How does one come to the conclusion that other people aren't as grown up as them?

Why would it? Most violence in the world doesn't stem from sincere religious people, but from people who want to do violence, and will use whatever excuse they can to instigate it.

But if you like using religion as a scapegoat for all the world's problems, go for it. I personally see that approach as being a bit naive though.
