It's an ego thig, some men don't want relationships but want to prove they can and will get the girl. The set their sights on someone who may come accross as unobtainable and go for it, and they won't stop until they get them. Once they have them, the novelty has worn of, they've proven they've "got it" and they don't want the tied down feeling now.

I think the chase is BS.. I have learned in my life that if you have to play "games" to even get a guy interested, then you have to stay on your toes the whole time you're with him because you are never really quite sure what it is they like about you (or the fake you they were chasing). If someone likes you for you... you don't need to play games. Games (or the chase) only hinders the healthy developement of a relationship! Of course, no guy wants a DOOR MAT.. but that has nothing to do with the Chase, more having respect for yourself (and that is one of the most attractive attributes a woman can have) Keep you head up and a good man will find you, when they are ready for what you want.. a realtionship! I PROMISE!

The point of the chase is that a guy would get pretty bored if all the women he was interested in just gave out on the first date. A bit of "courtship" with the promise of so much more to come later in the relationship keeps him interested!

When you've successfully ended the chase with the "capture" I suppose the trick then is to keep things interesting otherwise he'll be off on another chase!

The point as you have called it is the thrill - it's the whole will she won't she question. You see, if I could (I'm in a stable relationship now) or if Mr X could get a woman to be with him - whether a date, one night stand or whatever the aim is - then it is sucess. Either that then comes down to being testosterone fuelled or needing the feeling of sucess. You can see it as a sign of immaturity ´(wanting to sow your oats is coarse but biologically it is natural) so often to show your prowess to your mates (its that dammed testosterone again) chasing women and suceeding is the name of the game. If you want a steady relationship it probably means you have matured a bit.

Personally, I don't want to waste time on a chase and I also don't want a long term relationship. I just need regular sex. It's far easier to pay for it. That way, everybody knows what's going to happen.

as much as i might prefer to work out Kasey make it, in fact he's been too inconsistant this season to deserve a niche interior the Chase....comparable with Bowyer surely. i think of David will make it at Clint's price.

I agree about the chase, I think it's waste of time..but no, I wouldn't want a gf/relationship either.

I like a girl that just gives up the pu$$y.
