I say if he's got you down in a hold of some sort and you have a full guard and his chest is near your face (or his neck too) go ahead and blow on him to make that goofy noise! I don't think it would work to get out of the move, but it would be funny as hell!

are you talking about a competition match or a mixed martial arts fight in the street?

if you're talking about a match in a competition then no, you have to think of a way out of it (like an elbow strike to the ribs, or grabbing a finger and torquing it to loosen the grip) tickling would prob'ly get you disqualified, besides that, the opponent might not even feel it with the adrenaline rush.

if it's a fight in the street, then anything goes, but I'd do more than ticle an opponent if he's tryin to kick my a**

you can do anything you want as long as its not to the eyes, groin or back of the head. Go ahead and tackle him if you want, but you better be ready to put a hurting to him cause now you two are on the ground and the real fun begins.

Tickling is not a reliable self-defense method.
Not everybody is ticklish. Also, when adrenaline is flowing it may not work at all.

"tickling" is allowed althought would be useless as nothing tickles when you are grappling.
