Depends on what your belief is.

1Ti 6:3 If any man teach otherwise , and consent not to wholesome words , [even] the words of our Lord Jesus Christ , and to the doctrine which is according to godliness.

Note: Please read 1 Timothy 6:3-5
Verse 5 from such things withdraw thyself.

If someone teaches not what Jesus taught then we should withdraw thyself.

That's what's great about Christ, He didn't leave anything to chance. He was dead on and specific. He told the scribes and pharisees that if they didn't depart from religion and follow Him they were doomed to hell. He said there was one way, and it was Him. "No man can come unto the Father but by me" That pretty well sums it up doesn't it. So you can't be a follower of Christ and believe there is any other way to heaven, if you do then you're calling Him a liar and you have no hope. I like black and white, you can count on it!

And for those screaming tolerance and respect, remember this, I can love you and respect you as a human being but I don't have to tell you that I respect your beliefs. I show love to all those I come in contact with on a personal basis, but they know where I stand and I dwell peaceably with them and get along, but we can debate and still have love and peace. Just because I show scripture that I believe says you are wrong doesn't mean I don't respect you or love you........

"Then Jesus said to them,"so wherever you go in the world, tell everyone the Good News. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."
Mark 16:15,16
I wouldn't call that respecting every belief, would you?

I respect yours if you respect mine in return. GOD is to big to be in just one place. you can tell the type of religion by the society and the type of society by the religion. a religion which works for a hunter-gatherer society may not work for an agriculture society and neither of these may work for an industrial society. remember Christianity is a fairly new religion as there are others much older. there are many ways to get to ones destination as one can walk, run, ride a bike, a motorcycle, take a train, plane, etc. and still get to where one wants to go. and getting there is the important not how.

I don't know what your beliefs are. But I will say this: no specious claim without a shred of empirical evidence to back it up -- that an angel gave you a set of golden plates with scripture on them, that you've been taking dictation from Allah, that your god sacrificed himself to himself to change a law he himself made -- is INHERENTLY worthy of respect, particularly if it's a contradictory and poorly written little fairy tale.

If you are tolerant and respectful of other people's beliefs than I respect yours, in fact I'd feel obliged to respect them. If you are intolerant then I don't need to respect your beliefs.

Who is to say your beliefs wrong? The bible was translated from someone Else's writings. the translators used parts they liked and left out a lot. Also the original script was written by men who added what they wanted to say .I don't know who is right or wrong.I have my own theories. But i strongly feel killing in the name of any religion is wrong.

one can be respectful and be separate. It says come out from among them, that does not mean ignor, or condemn, or argue with, it simply means do not give others the impression that you agree with something evil or on the wrong path, so do not lend support to those who might lead others astray.

bringing up the name Jesus in combination with why you deserve respect is a sure-fire recipie to loose my respect. Christians are enormously disrespectful to others and don't seserve respect from us.
