Don't be so concerned with the ring size, just select the ring you think she'll love and the jewerly store can resize it later.

I work in a jewellers and deal with these situations every day! If she wears rings then rob 1 and bring it to the jewellers with you but be careful because usually if they size a ring especially for her then they wont exchange it. All the time I see men buying rings and 9 times out of 10 the girl doesnt exactly love it and wants a different 1. She will have to love it as she will hopefully be wearing it for life. Dont stress over it, just pick a nice 1 and she should be so happy you asked her to marry you that she wont even care if it doesnt quite fit. Good luck!

Just pretend that you are looking at the size of her ring finger to see if she falls into the category of being a sports person. Someone has come up with the idea that if your ring finger is longer than your index finger you are potentially going to a good sports person. Best thing though is to buy the ring and then if it doesn't fit take it back to where you bought it from oh and take your Fiancee with you. You will soon have it all sorted.
Good Luck - nice guy!

if she wears a ring on the same finger but her other hand then ask to try it on when you are drunk make a joke out of it, tell her that her fingers are thin, long, fat, whatever you want to tell her. or you could tell her you want to buy her jewellery for christmas and ask her to provide a size for each finger incase you see a ring instead of a chain ect.you will need each finger size just to keep your options open. that way it will be a surprise when she gets a ring that fits before christmas. good luck with the engagement and future plans hope you hear the right answer.

Take one of the rings that she wears and put it on your finger (probably yoru pinky) and see where is stops. Then go to the jewellers and do the same with rings there. You will be able to guess that way. My fiance did that. We were sitting around one day and he asked ot see the ring i wore on my right hand and slide it as far down as he could on his pinky finger. Then we talked about how big his fingers were. I didn't even suspect anything. And now my (beautiful) engagement ring fits perfectly.
Good Luck!!!

Little finger.
Your little finger should be the size of her wedding one. It's just coincidence. If it fails then, you can have a laugh at not being able to squeeze the ring on.
Just hold her hand more and take time to "admire" the hand, pretend to write on her hand or something like that to take a closer look. Compare it to your little finger and judge for yourself.
Alternatively, bring her to a jewellry shop, be nonchalant about it and be very calm, just act like you're feeling generous about some "bonus" you just got recently and want to buy her some jewellry. Then after one "fake" ring you can go buy the real one for the marriage proposal.
Last resort, get a necklace for the ring to be slipped on and present it to her like that.

Just take one of her rings from her jewellery box, make sure that it's one that fits her, take it to the jewellers and get them to find the right size for you.
Another way is like get her mother or sister to have a conversation about jewellery when she's there and then the mum say something like 'I wonder what ring size I am', and then the sister goes and gets a ring sizer that they have and then just for fun, everyone sizes their fingers.
OH! I'VE GOT A WICKED WAY YOU COULD DO IT, TAKE HER OUT AND PARK UP SOMEWHERE ROMANTIC AND ASK HER AND SAY THAT YOU HAVEN'T GOT A RING BECAUSE YOU WANT IT TO BE THE MOST PERFECT RING EVER AND YOU WANT HER TO LOVE IT AND TELL HER THAT YOU'LL DRIVE HER TO THE JEWELLER'S NOW AND SHE CAN PICK OUT ANY RING SHE WANTS AND YOU'LL PAY FOR IT :)
Oh and Congratulations!

I have a plan........ surprise her when she comes home form work one night by staging a quiz, the loser gets gunged like on the tv quizzes. right so rig up the gunge bags and fill hers with plaster of paris. now heres the clever part tell her the hardware shop had no buzzers...... ask an easy question and when she puts her hand up to answer trigger the gunge, wait until she has completely set snap off the hand protion of the mould you have made of your girlfriend and take to the jewellers. Make sure she still wants to marry you after this.

Someone I know looked at his girlfriend's ring while it was on the bureau and then took a dime, penny & nickle and measured which one was closest to the ring's size on the bureau. Just make sure she wears that ring on her ring finger.
I had to get my ring resized... way down actually. And it's really not a big deal (the jeweler usually does it for free too).

well if you live with her you can "borrow" one of her rings, and then either copy the size of the ring on a paper or take it to the jelwery so you can seize it over there. There are also some magazines or you can ask in the jelery if they can provide you with a piece of paper that has the sizes printed, you take it home and size one of your girlfriends' ring, if you don't live with her you can ask a friend to try one of her rings and mark whit a pen how far the ring went on her finger , you can then take the frind to the jewery to try on the sizes.

Then casually measure them for a laugh, or if she's a heavy sleeper do it then!? Or Get her mum to take her out shopping for the day mum's are good at making things up!! Good luck xxxx
