Sounds like it is time to move on. He is just calling out of quilt and making small talk. I'm sorry that you were alone during your surgeries, that is difficult to handle alone. Good luck with your future plans.

I think you should stop talking to him, don't answer his calls, etc. What could possibly be so important that he can't find time to talk to you?? My guess is that he is a player or he's in a serious relationship with someone else. I dated a guy like that once and I found out he was dating 2 other girls besides me! We all became friends and confronted him..then dumped his a**! Dump him, you can find someone out there who can't wait to talk to you!! Don't give this guy the power to choose you...take that power away and choose to dump him!! Make sure you pay attention to instincts, instincts don't lie and they are a natural way of prtecting yourself from danger!Good luck!!

If you want to move on then move on. I don't think you'lll need to ignore his emails or calls considering he only calls every other week for 2 minutes. You have nothing to break up with so you can keep a friendship if you desire.

If you're disappearing to send a message to him (tit for tat), or to hurt him, mess with his mind or get his attention, then don't. You're just sinking to his level. If you're serious about not wanting to see him again just tell him so.
Call and tell him you don't want any more contact with him. "It's clear that you don't love or respect me. I'm done with your disappearing acts and deserve someone who treats me well and wants to be with me. Don't call me ever again. Goodbye" He may try to talk you out of it because of control issues; there's nothing worse than treating someone badly, then you get DUMPED!
After you've done that, block his number on your phone and show his emails as being "spam," or block them in some other way if possible. Do this only if you're serious about this guy being out of your life.
If you're not serious, and want to give this guy another chance, then you have bigger issues to deal with...like why it's OK for someone to treat you so badly.

next time he calls tell him its over. this is not a relationship but an acquaintance who calls every now and then.. he has no interests in you and odds are he is seeing someone else. he is hiding because he is a coward and would rather have you end it so he can save face. kick the dog to the curb..
I hope all went well with your minor procedures.

You are right to feel that way. I would feel the same. I think that I would disappear, he obviously isn't into the relationship that much to fight for it.

when guys disappear like this it's because they aren't interested, and sorry, but there's likely to be another woman in his life
