I don't think people should be in fear. But should be informed, and use protection. If you protect yourself, you shouldn't feel the need to be in constant paranoia. You have a good point though.

Nobody said you have to live in fear but at the same time you need to be cautious. A condom is only to prevent you from catching virus's such as HIV or AIDS. But it doesn't protect the rest of your body from STD'S. Just by your pubic area touching a females pubic area could give you an STD if you or her have one. When you have sex you are taken a risk cause now a days you just don't know what people have. Therefore I don't think people should live in fear and not enjoy life because of these things. I just think they should just be careful and don't be a fool by not protect themselves as much as possible.

Obviously you don't know about STDs and in that case you shouldn't be having sex!!! STDs can be passed even if your using a condom!!! And the reason people want to have their partner tested is because the don't want to die in 5 years because the got a std!!!!

u ppl??? wtf
I answered this question telling this chick to get tested for STD's. Her question involved her banging some guy behind a greeting card rack in the middle of some market just because he looked like huckleberry or something. If a chick openingly flaunts how proud she is about banging anything with a penis I'm gonna assume condoms are the last thing on her mind. Its disgusting.

Why to fear? Coz with the wide spread of the diseases we are not living in a safe environment now. A condom is not 100% percent safe and I can never support sex with a condom either. Its not stupidity its common sense! Any common sense is not common.
No sex before marriage, if you cant help it use a condom but have in mind that its not 100% safe.

It's what people assume happens when people have unprotected sex. They want to get thier point across that this person could die or never have kids because they know something. The majority if people know that having unprotected sex can lead to STD's but it's annoying when everybody repeats other people.

condoms have a 15% FAILURE rate and we only have that stat b/c the failures have ended in pregnancy, think of all the times they fail and pregnancy doesn't happen. would you get in a plane knowing there's a 15% chance of it crashing? um... NO!
the thing about STDs is that they are really nasty... like hep B that deteriorates your liver and you don't even know until it's practically too late... that's just one, but there are so many that have terrible, long lasting effects.

Wow I hope your not having alot of sex cause condoms don't stop everything. And now days sex is thrown around like it's just like...nothing. If you have ever met a person with AIDS & they told you it was protected sex that got them in a hospital bed dying would you rethink that ignorant statement?

there is alot to worry about. STD's arent anything to fool around with. some are life threatening, incase you didnt know of HIV /AIDS. and others are gross. maybe people giving advice like that had a scare once in their life and are just passing on their knowledge.
