I want to download MP3's legally, but is there a site where you can download an MP3 and it's yours...like you don't have to pay that "to go" fee to transport it to your MP3 player? Basically, is there like a Limewire where I can pay for the songs?

The only way to get mp3s legally is to pay for them - napster gives you a free trial for a week though, and they have a large database of music. If you pay £15 a month you can stream as many songs as you want, and for a bit more you can download as many as you want. Universal are going to start a site in the new year where you can download all of their music for free, legally. With competition like that the others will certainly have to reduce their prices, if not start letting people download for free.

This is easy, Either get napster (the gold version) or possibly the best (most songs), iTunes. My opinion? Itunes, because it is cheap, you can get cards from places like wal-mart that are redeemable for songs if you dont want to use a credit card, and there is one heck of a lotta music. Oh, and like u said, with iTunes, if you buy it, it is urs. (if you dont have an iPod, burn the songs to a cd and copy it to itunes again. Then put it on ur mp3 player.)

The best one I have found is EMusic, they haven't got the latest titles but they have a lot of Indie and alternative. You download your songs as MP3's and they can be moved to any device.

here's the scoop, this works perfectly, download limewire basic, from limewire.com, then go into limewire, and download the program: limewire pro, through limewire basic...then it will automatically delete limewire basic, and it will show you have limewire pro, which you can't get sued over, because the first thing they will think is that you bought it!!! you're welcome
