The third eye is a figure of speech to describe seeing beyond normal vision, which is clouded by your thoughts and feelings. To do this takes a lot of work in understanding how your mind works for, and especially against you. When you see into the nature of your self, you get very quiet inside naturally, and then the possibility of this improved vision is open to you.

The third eye can be open, and when this happens, you are able to see the unseen.
You can even see into the future, the view is crystal clear, like a dvd screen.
However, to achieve this status, one has to do intense meditation and devotion on to the Hindu God ' Shiva' He is said to have the third eye.
My wife is one such person, she is able to predict lots of things and help or warn others. She sees things that are yet to pass, not only in our country, but in others.

personally i dont believe in this " third eye "
i have been doing psychic readings for ermm a long time now lol
but i have never had to open this third eye
i do feel it is symbolic of using that inner sense we " all " have
and yes there are ways to practise this and all of them are fairly simple and straight forward
i play psychic games with my kid ... like guess which cup the crystal is under
guess what card i am holding
the more you practise in this way ... the easier it becomes to use that intuition
it is an inbuilt ability we are all born with ... just not used at will
we just need to remember how to use it ... it doesnt need activated

I had been asking the same for many years when suddenly I found that there is a hidden switch just below the skin at the base of the neck.
Take a sharp knife and have a dig around, am sure you will find it, you will be amazed once you have switched it on, only problem i have now is that i can find sunglasses with three lens so have to close that eye when going out in bright sunlight!

I have through meditation. Not so much on demand, but have had it happen a few times. Only with eyes closed, and looking in the area at about eyebrow level.

You have to be in a state of extreme excitment before it appears.
