If you have tan skin ( be it natural or sun tanning) people have the perception that yr outgoing and fun or sporty? and if you are pale people say yr afraid of the sun etc, lazy etc?? hahah

Tans make us look healthy when they are not over-done. Too much tan makes you look haggard.

No. Actually, in this day and age, people that are too tan (especially those that fake and bake) look stupid for not protecting their skin. You might look 'fun and sporty' with a tan when you're 18 but 20 years later of tanning all the time, you'll look like an old hag. I am 33 and regret all the tanning I did when I was younger. It's o.k. to have a little color when it's summer time. If you feel better being tan, try some instant tanning lotion. Clinique makes the best stuff.

Well I speak from my own experience I'm not lazy at all but I do not do the sun thing because I have seen what it does to your skin.Look at people that are in tanning beds & in the sun .They look like leather & think they are looking really good.I do go outside & take care of yard or go swimming but I protect my skin.Needless to say I also know tan people who are lazy as the day is long.so the skin color has nothing to do with nothing It's just people's opinions once again.

I've never heard that before, I mean I was born with a normal light tan skin. My father being from Egypt, and my mother being Italian. And well my whole life all the girls I've ever known where always jealous of me, I mean the only thing I heard about having tan skin is that you can't get sun burned at all.

Well i've never thought that about anyone just because their pale.
I suppose when you have a tan, you do look healthier (i know i do).
But i wouldn't say just because someone is pale it means their lazy.

tan = young, energetic, fun loving, leader.
pale = reserved, cautious, observer, follower.
thin = young, energetic, adventurous, leader, active
fat = older, lazy, boring, stubborn, inactive
tan and thin = HOT
pale and fat = NOT
