You might need to get a different kind of lens - mine do the same thing. I have the Extreme H2O lenses and they work great.

If the problem is frequent and your eyes hurt you should speak to your optician and see if a change in lenses will do the trick. Some lenses have a higher water concentration and are more comfortable to the eye.
Alternatively you can try natural tears (there is a pretty handy type in one-use ampules by Allergan) while you are wearing the lenses.

Best thing to do is contact your optician. It can depend on what lenses you have, soft hard, daily..monthly..? Maybe its a change of the type of lense you need.
There are also various eye drops available over the counter at the chemist, however make sure they are compatible with your lenses!!
Its good to give your eyes a rest by wearing your glasses every 3-4 days too.

All the above, but in addition make sure you drink plenty of water - I find my lenses dry out a lot more quickly if I'm dehydrated.

When I wore contact lenses, I wore both hard and soft, I used drops some, and it helped a lot. Another thing that is very important is wearing sun glasses. They help keep dust, and other environmental stuff such as dirt, sand, sun, etc. out of your eyes, which helps keep them clean, and moist.
Make sure that you clean them daily, and if possible, soak them for a few hours or even overnight.
Hope this answers your question.

Use a good lens solution like complete moisture. Asc your doc about eye drops for dry eye. blink frequently and make sure when you wear your lenses you feel comfortable.

contact lenses i assume you mean
sometimes the environment you are in can do it; dry, dusty, airconned etc...other times it may be that you need new lenses, they are dirty or that you could have an infection. get your optician to check it out, just in case. you may just need to have some eye drops to help correct the problem.

I had/have the same problem.
I switched to the Acuvue Oasys, which is more permeable, which has significantly improved day long comfort.
Other manufacturers may have something similar.
Otherwise, the more dirty they are, they more they tend to dry up as well.
