So who's got them? Who's got them taken out? Who has yet to even get them to start growing in?

I had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out about a year and a half ago,
the process was all fine and dandy, though they used a "conscious sedation" where I was awake during the entire thing, but I don't remember anything at all. Kinda of a scary thought if you ask me. Though when I woke up I was all numb, so that was pretty cool. The next few days sucked because I could barely eat anything, and I was given vicoden and all was good after that.

To the dentist my friend and assuming it is a routine extraction, they should give you the choice of being put to sleep or an injection.

I have had 2 wisdom teeth taken out recently and both times did it with injection - no pain at the time although it was a bit sore for a few days after.

Make sure you stock up on soup and ice-cream!

Good luck

Kings Dental hospital in SE London its great if you choose sedation you dont feel a thing - or remember any of it.
Fed up with overcharging dentists and terrified of needles in the mouth I have just had half my teeth removed waiting for the call back for the other half. Best sleep I've had in years. After pain neglible and they give you plenty of pain medication to take home with you. Dentists referral is required. Downside I had to wait a month for assessment and another for first half of the procedure.

It depends on what the dentist says. Most dentists will automatically send you to an Oral Surgeon to be evaluated. You fail to say if your wisdom teeth came in normally or if they are impacted beneath the gum. As in my case I only got three of them and all three of them were impacted meaning that the oral surgeon put me to sleep and then remove all three teeth. It is a pretty painful procedure. They knock you out to take them out but they load you up with medication when you wake up. They send me home with Vicodin and Demoral. That is how painful the procedure can be. Talk to your dentist because there is a chance that they can be extracted in his office. As long as they are not impacted.

M dentist took mine oout- I'd suffered for ages with it and after hearing all the horror stories I was dreading having it removed- however I eft the car at 11.52am and was on my way home at 12.14pm- I realise it must have been easy for him to remove - no complications- but I was so pleased and wished I'd had it done ages ago- good luck
my friend was referred to the hospital and had to wait over 12 months!!

I pulled out all four of mine. Bad side was that I had to operate them, cause they werent out yet.
But in your case, think you should cast out yr fears `n go to see the dentist. (do nothing without anasthesia).
Procedure after
1. day after, take one sedative (3x8hours) just to pass over the pain.
If yr teeth needs operation....than y`ve got 7 days after to worry :)
But I know thats not in yr case.
Hope was of some help

Some dentists will do it in the chair, others will refer to hospital. Depends on you (being nervous etc) and how difficult they think the extraction will be.
