If you still have feeling for someone, it sucks to let go. I think people get scared to be on their own, they get comfortable in a relationship, then it is all of a sudden gone, it makes you feel a bit empty. You don't have time to react and if you dont want to leave that person it sucks to have no choice

Because your breaking up with your best friend, your lover, a huge part of your life, & its sad, it's sometimes hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, even though it's there, it's hard to let go of what you do have, no matter how much you fight etc, if that's the case.
Ive heard a saying that it can take 1/3 of the length of the relationship to be able to end it, then that same time again or 1/2 as long to actually get over the break up.

Well for normal people that actually care about each other it is a very hard thing to do because you really do care maybe even love each other, and losing that person is the last thing you want to do. But well that's why you should always stay on mutual terms of it. I mean try to see the good that will come out of it, instead of looking at it as totally bad. There is a reason why you broke up, so well you just have to learn to deal with it, because crying and getting angry isn't going to bring you back together. and remember there's always tomorrow, things change all the time. So well you can always hold onto the hope that you will get back together again.

Breaking up tends to be hard usually depending on how long you were together. Only because you have grown accustom to the relationship or your partner being apart of your life. Once you break up it changes every thing even if a friendship is salvageable. What once was the nature of relationship such as holding hands, hugs, kisses and such will not be apart of your lives. So it will be out of impulse to act on what your accustom to with that person. Not only that though it may be over. There usually is a bit of feelings left and when impulse and remaining feelings collide it really messes with your emotions.

Breaking up is actually easy to do. Living with the consequences is the hard part.
Sometimes it's easy to break up when you have JUST cause. But, it's hard to be decisive when you don't have all the facts.

it's not a hard thing to do..whenyou decided to break up with your boy/girl friend it means that you don't love that person enough to spent more time with him/she.there's no deep feelings involved just the thought you might hurt somebody that really cares for you.

In my experience I have found that no matter how unbearable the relationship is, sometimes the thought of being alone or starting over with someone new is worse.
