I think railways are thinking of the same on some routes. I hope we may have a private railway soon ie in 7 to 10 years.

I hope this will prove 2 be a boon .the privatisation will help to maintain the standards of the train atleast and there
'll be proper control of each section with better results

two years back there was an article in some magazine (dont remember week or india today) regarding two small private railways in India !! probably they must have breathed their last by now.
