i found a ladybird this morning which was black with red spots, but it also had a white head?
i popped it in a cup with a piece of paper over it to bring it home to photograph - but it escaped (in my car so i hope it isnt a killer bug lol!)

Since it had a white head it was probably Ladybird Johnson.

Sounds like a harlequin one to me. Not sure though. Never seen one myself.

i sounds like the new one called harlequin if it is its not dangerouse but is killing off our native ladybugs
