i recommend you get Sasha's blend, only available from a vet that i know of and is specially made for dogs with joint problems and arthritis, it is a powder form and easily mixed into your dogs food and also full of vitamins needed. i use it on my dogs and its great, there are also a couple of other things similar i cant remember the name of them but also available at a vet clinic that are all natural and contain a natural anti-inflammatory which helps in joint aches, pain and any swelling.

Hope that helps (",)

I would recommend giving your dog Colostrum and Bounce Back. Colostrum has alot of antibodies to help your dog get healthier and the Bounce Back is Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and M.S.M. This kind is a liquid and is easer for a dog to take because you just mix it in with your pets food. It is a naturally occurring substance found in the connective tissues of dogs. One of these tissues is the cartilage that covers the end bones in the joints. The only place i know that you can get the liquid is on ebay. Here is the seller that I go threw.

It does last along time one bottle tends to last me with one dog for about 6 mos. The same seller also has the Colostrum.

good luck I hope your puppy is feeling better soon.

My collie was on arthritus tablets from about the age of 8. She was insured so the cost was minimal to us. With the tablets she led a normal happy life and lived to the ripe old age of 15.

Buy a large bean bag and put it front of the heater so the dog can warm itself. Also feeding the dog can fish as this has omega3 which can help bone and cartilages. maybe get the dog to warm up with short throws before it goes into long sustained runs.

You may want to try some Chondroitin/Glucosimine pills to help repair cartilage and alleviate arthritis. I know a LOT of people with larger breeds that incorporate these pills into the dogs daily regimen.

The brand Nutro makes a bisquit especially for seniors. It has glucosamine and condroitin. Its an easy way to help her and she will think its a treat. You can get them at Petco.

Eight years is pretty old for a dog. This represents 56 years in human age. Talk to your vet, but I dont think there ius much that can be done. The dog probably has arthritis, or rheumatism.

You should consult a vet before you give your dog any meds.
