They like you to swallow because it's intimate. Spitting is rejection of something intimate. Not rational, but there you go. Swallowing gives the message "I just can't get enough of you".
As for kissing after, it's not a big issue for most guys...

Don't assume that all men like the same thing (funnily enough, I've just answered a question on short skirts with very much the same answer). For instance, I've never really got off on receiving a BJ, and would much prefer a HJ. However, I have always been heavily turned on by performing oral on a woman. I don't know if this is relevant, but in my experience, the majority of women are quite happy to kiss a man after he's been down on them. Not at all sure about the situation in reverse, as I've never come in a woman's mouth either.

It's just a comfort level for the guy with his own semen. I'm 43 years old and have learned to over come (no pun intended) that phobia. If I am lucky enough for my wife to be in the mood for something like that, I have no problems kissing her afterward. Of course the mood doesn't come often for her, but when it does, I'm ready!...lol
