Personally I like girls in jeans but I think most men do pay more attention to girls in short skirts, but these are the guys that think they are studs and it would give them easier access to their main objective, sex, and since that's not how I am, my preference for jeans really is in the minority.

Girls who wear short skirts may get more attention but it is the wrong kind of attention. If you are a ho that just wants guys to look at you for one thing than sure, were a short skirt, but don't wonder why guys only want to go out with you for a short time. It doesn't matter what you wear, as long as you dont look like a tart. Girls in jeans for example do get attention but then you know the guy is looking at you in a more meaningful way

I've proved this is true. I walk the same way every day sometimes wearing jeans (which are pretty sexy jeans) sometimes wearing a short skirt. It depends on my mood. The days that I wear the skirts always get me more attention. I get some on jeans days but the skirts get more by far! I'm old skool punk / rockabilly so my look is not a tarty one but a different one not usually to most peoples taste but on skirt days, that doesn't matter.. business men or tradesmen, doctors or shop assistants all give me the same attention and it's usually respectful but definately more flirtatious. My man noticed it because he is well aware of the looks I get & he himself will tell me to wear the skirt when i ask him which one. He's a proud fella and king of the jungle on skirt days. lol.

The thing is, men like to look at pretty women or parts of them. In this case a revealing skirt gets noticed. One could argue that this attention is not all that good, since when men look at a girl with a short skirt and other clothes and a look to match, they see an object, not a person. If you want a meaningful relationship or meet a good guy, you aren't losing anything with guys who go after a girl with a short skirt or such.

In respect to the initial glance or look, I think probably she does.
Does the attention continue or last, now that's a different question.
I think both men and women will initially glance/look at a girl/lady in a short skirt. However, I think if she looks cheap and/or overtly sexy then people tend to look at her somewhat with disrespect depending on how far she has gone with the shortness of the skirt.
Short skirts are nice, sexy, and can look really good on some girls/ladies. I think the whole issue is to what degree has she taken the "shortness" of the skirt. If it's done with a bit of class it can be very attractive and sexy.

Yes definitely, women in short skirts get much more attention. The only problem is that with most men it is sexual. I mean seriously ladies - How many times have you been picked up by a guy when you were in a short skirt/revealing outfit and he never called you after he got sex?

It depends on what kind of attention you want to get! I have a lot of guy friends and when they see a girl in a short skirt, sure they look but you should hear how they talk about her. Then it's I bet I can get her first or they say stuff like yeah she really wants it!
I have asked them and they all prefer a woman with class, you know dress sexy but not slutty, and have respect for her self.
Me personally, I am a blue Jeans and nice shirt and heels kind of woman. I don't need a short skirt to get attention, I have more respect for my self and the men I meet have more respect for me as well.
So it's all in what you are looking for and how you want them to look at you!

yes they do get attention but as stated before looks are important too.
a short skirt doesn't have to look tarty at all
the problem comes with the stone age men of this world who can only associate attractive women with a bonking machine with legs and not just appreciate what they see
many women also have this approach if their man looks at an attractive women, what is their response "look at that tart"
its because they feel threatened maybe?
they too could dress more feminine but shy away because they don't want the hassle it can bring them from the stone age man type. I'm sure many more women would dress more attractively if it were not for this problem.

Girls that don't need to wear a short skirt to be noticed get more attention. Get attention with your attitude and the way you carry yourself. Not how short your skirt is.

Yes you are right but is it the sort of attention that you would want?
So what if they are staring at a girl with a short skirt, all they may be thinking is that they want to shag her for a night or think how slutty she looks.
More attention isnt always a good thing.
