There are many risks, personally i would avoid the whole "Is my house haunted thing" and go straight for the cleansing process. Thats what I did...I didnt want to see anything creepy, so I just accepted it, and got on with it. If you get a bunch of sage, burn it in your house and walk around with it clockwise through the rooms, then moving upstairs. No chants or anything, just burning sage. Sometimes, when your done, stuff may go wierd for like a minute, but then you should be ok. Its kinda like an exorcism, but it works...tried and tested

Just ask any Holy Spirit filled Christian. They will need to have the gifts of Discernment of Spirits, possibly with Word of Knowledge, Word of Wisdom and Prophecy. All Christians have authority over spirits, but the Christian needs to have the proper spiritual tools to handle the job.

Give Barbara M the best answer now.
There is actually a test you can do with the candle.
Light the candle and hold your hand in the hottest part of the flame for 30 seconds.
If you're stupid enough to do this, then you're stupid enough to believe in ghosts.

PLEASE DO NOT USE A OUIJA BOARD!!
I have tales that would make your hair curl!
Get a local medium or someone from the local spiritualist church (www.snu.org.uk) to check it out. You dont say why you think you are haunted - are there lights flickering and other electric problems and certain aears of the house cold, never getting warm?
Or is it just curiosity coming up to Hallowe'en?

There are risks whenever being involved with the occult. If you are a believer in Jesus you have authority over the situation... use it.
By using Ouija boards, you are inviting spirits into your home.

Risks? None.
The risks of these so-called "tests" are the same as your house being haunted; Zero.
That's because there are no such things as ghosts. I know it's close to haloween but try and keep reality and fantasy seperate ok?

be careful what your delving into and the safest way to check for any spirits is to find obvious cold spots from a warm house/room. please dont do the ouijja board speaking from experience its NOT a good idea cuz of drawing in bad spirits. cold spots and white candles lit up in a dark room is the safest way i think

Don't know. I see the ghost in my house all the time. For some reason he likes to open the bathroom door and then flush the toilet.
