It looks like a good choice. With regard to the video function:
+ Can zoom during movie mode
- Movies are a little over-compressed

re: videos - the video quality of digital cameras, doesn't compare even to a low-end mini-dv camcorder.

i suggest you read the reviews about the H2 and also check out alternative brands available in the same price band..
chk out the canon s2is and s3is models
