I have made a small, generator more generating a small amount of energy. But I hv a problem. I forgot to attach a rubber band between the 2 pulleys. I also want to add something so that this moves continuously without human effort for a longer time.Pictures are not allowed with the questions. The picture shows an angle on the pulleys. I assume that they are in alignment and that a rubber band between them would work if included. I would suggest that you use a rubber band to go around the pulleys. The way to do this without dis-assembly is to use the rubber band in its normal form. wrap the band around the two pulleys in its double form. Then tie the loops together on the ends. I would suggest using a paper clip to hold the two ends while you feed a piece of thread, mono-filament fish line, or string between the rubber band ends to close the gap.

As far as making the unit work longer, A propeller or pinwheel on the end of the shaft, would make this a small wind generator. You could also use a wheel with paddles to make a water wheel. These worked well in the old days, and presently in hydro-electric plants.

Well if the generater works make it move itself. What i mean by that is put wheels on it and make the generater move the wheels.
