I've had so many girls tell me that the coolest thing their boyfriends ever did was take them out kite-flying. No joke. They thought it was totally awesome.

You should prepare a romantic night if u want to live good night and 4 me romanticism is the first step of a succesful event ;) Taking her a nice resturant is good idea but also u can take her somewhere lovely and cheap ( cuz we act freely like this places ) maybe it looks bad for the first time but if a girl feel herself really relax , everything goes on easier than u think.

By personal experience, many men have asked to take me out and we end up in a restaurant. It's too cliche. The restaurant you chose is beautiful, but make sure that wherever you take her - she will never forget. Is there a beach? Take her to the beach right before sunset and pack a picnic. (HINT: Finger foods only so you both can feed each other). Take her to a park and bring a small radio with a cd you made for the night and dance with her - in the dark. Do something that she'll never forget you for.

And please remember - it's not where you go with her, but how you make her feel that night. She could be anywhere in the world with anyone - and she chose you. Make it memorable.

I would say after dinner, you should take her somewhere to shoot pool or go bowling. Something that you could both have fun with, but you could also converse as well. You could always go to a park for a walk, before or after dinner and get to know each other better that way. Good luck!

Lunch is safer for a first date than dinner...then you can go to a park for a nice walk or do something outside, less intimidating than the whole "dinner and a movie" thing. You'll have the whole afternoon to really get acquainted and if it doesn't catch fire, well, you have time to get over the disappointment.

I wouldn't over-do it. Unless you're wealthy, it doesn't make a lot of sense spending an exhorbitant sum on dates. She should be more concerned about your character instead of your big spending.

And you shouldn't be expecting anything in return. Why don't you take her to the movies (which are certainly expensive enough) and then out for pizza?

Yes, if you take her to a nice restaurant that would be nice. Depending on how old you are you could go for a drink afterwards.
