My Boston Terrier had five puppies. Two look as though they are full blooded, the other three don't. She mated only with another full blooded Boston Terrier. Why would one have long hair, and the other two have long snouts. The only way they even resemble Boston Terriers is that their colors and markings are the same.

No it is not normal. There has to be some kind of throw back from her side or his side for this to happen if the breeding was as you say. Long Haired Boston Terriers are not part of the breed standard or the long snouts for that matter. I would check both pedigrees and if it is his side I would want my money back as now the whole litter is not considered pure pedigree. Also if it is your dogs side, she is not considered pure pedigree either. This is serious as false pedigrees claim sales are against the law.

Your dog may not be full blooded and what the mix is is now coming through in the off spring. Also when a female is in heat other dogs will jump ten foot high chain length fences to get at them. Or tunnel under them. Females are not innocent at that time for them either, I have seen them try to breed through the chain length fence. We had dogs from all over the county show up when she went into heat. I get a female anymore and I get it fixed. I prefer the female to the male dogs.

nature works in variety. That's the beauty of it. You should take a look at your own siblings .. why aren't everyone exactly alike? Same thing goes with your boston terriers.

You have to know the blood line, if back in the past the parents or theirs got mixed with other kind it could come back in this litter, At least thats what i was told by a vet.

It is normal. The appearance of the dogs will eventually develop as they grow.
