My puppy has had diarrhea four times in two days (on the carpet). We've gotten the stains up, but the odor is still there. We are trying to sell our house and don't want potential buyers to turn and run when they are hit with the 'poop smell'. We've tried Febreze and candles.

Febreze makes it worse. Rent a steam cleaner with the correct shampoo and clean the carpet.

Sprinkle baking soda on it. Also ck out the local pet store. There are many things on the market specified for pets that will supposedly remove odors.

There is a good enzymatic cleaner on the market. You can get it at most vacuum cleaner repair stores. It works to remove pee and poo odor.

Simple ... spray a good amount of Windex on the spots and sweep the stain rigorously with a broom. You will see the immediate results. I think it has to do with the amonia.
