I have seen people from the TV buying the F-4 phantoms, and other old fighter jets, unarmed.

The F14 and F16, however, I doubt if you can buy that. I do not know for sure, so don't count on me.

But I think it would not be possible, because they are currently the main fighter jets the U.S. Airfoce has. I think it would be illegal.

I think your best bet is contacting the U.S. Airfoce or your regional airfoce base.

Just call them and ask a question. They will answer you.

You cannot buy currently used fighters However with the retirement of the F-14 they maybe available to you if you get the necessary license to fly an multi engine super sonic aircraft. This has been done so don't think it's impossible. There are people who fly the F-104 star fighter and the F-4 phantom. the cost of flying such planes is enormous so only billionaires own them. An F-5 freedom fighter or a russian mig is more affordable you'll only need to be a multi millionaire to fly one of those.

check ebay, you can buy a used fighter jet there, probably something ex soviet or a us trainer. unlikely you could get your hands on f-14 or f-16, besides the maintenance costs of keeping one in the air would be so high you would have to be rich enough that you have people doing this part of the legwork for you.
