Very much depends on the price per square metre of the carpet, and the size of the room. From experience I wouldn't expect to do it for less that £50 for an off-cut, £100-£150 for decent stuff with underlay, & fitting.

Quality of carpet is always going to determine cost - you can have carpet (for small room look for off cuts / end of roll bargains in carpet stores) these are not 'seconds' - they are simply left-over bits of whole rolls. If you want comfort - go for deep pile and good quality underlay (more expensive though).
If you want inexpensive - basic carpet and underlay would prob not exceed £120 - Foam backed carpet even cheaper as you will not need underlay.

A carpet warehouse or retailer should be able to work that one out for you. Depends what you want, how much per sq metre it cots and fittings, underlay, labour and door grippers.

My son's room would cost me around £85 all in, his room is 8ft x 8ft 5. That gives u a rough estimate

It depends, we have a 9x10 room

At www.freecycle.org we got for free a piece of carpet remnant 10x10 for free. For the other bedroom we went to a carpet outlet and purchased the padding and carpet remnant for $100.00

When I priced in out to go to the regular carpet store it was going to cost us about $600 installed. My teenagers with their messy shoes was not worth it for us.

Hope this assist.

a bedroom that is approx 10 x 10 should be able to be carpeted for around $180.00. If you do it yourself with a remnant you could get away for around $120 ! Carpet with a lighter color to make room appear larger if you like ..

I don't know but I used to be 12 points away from Level 5 and now I'm 10. Is that inflation or deflation?

It depends on the size, but it can be cheap. You don't need underlay so between £30 and £40 should be about right.
