I see it, but I already know why.

My question is WHO's side are they on, the American people's, or this administration's?

I don't think we are over staffing in my town. But I do know that most policemen in my area are under trained and need to be re-educated on the law. The only way to get the police to help you where I from is to speed.

I work for a department where we are so badly understaffed the dispatchers are working 16 hour days at least 2 out of their 5 days on.

Please tell me of one police department that is overstaffed. These days everyone wants more government services and less taxes. Police departments everywhere are forced to cut their budgets more and more each year. As the biggest expenditure in law enforcement is salary and benefits, reducing the number of officers on the street is the only way to do this.

Your town must be very lucky
here in Albuquerque the cops are so understaffed it's just sad really.
last month a called 911 and it took them 45 minutes to get out this way. no it wasn't something simple like teens smashing mailboxes. turns out out next door neighbor was a wife beater. broke his wife's arm and as she ran to our place for help hit her in the back with a brick! she went down and he ran up and kicked her in the ribs. that's when I came out and the Chickenshit ran off.

So here I am on my cell with 911 telling then about all of this. broken arm cracked ribs... the girl is crying and bleeding...still took 45 minutes I asked why? they said she got dropped down the list because her husband left!

no, no your lucky...

where do YOU live?

my town is extremely understaffed! i used to work for the local police and they would have a program whereas they would sponsor people throughout the academy as long as they commit to the department come graduation. most towns are understaffed...and it's stressful on the officers as well as the town people.

Thats not how it is at all. In fact most police/sheriff's dept are grossly understaffed. My husband is a cop and he tells me all the time how they need more people. There is just so much to do and not enough cops to do it.
