I'm in Asia, she's on the East Coast, we've been going strong for several months, and everything's going just fine right now, but I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to spice things up, keep things romantic, etc. Just any creative ideas that I might not have thought of.

EDIT: Okay, maybe I should have gone into a little more detail. We're both Americans, I'm just spending a year abroad in Japan. We've actually met in person and that's when we fell for each other, we're not going on some crazy internet-spawned relationship here.

Okay now that you've cleared things up, make sure you stay in touch. There are so many ways to do this. Love letter's on beautiful stationary, a nice personal touch compared to e-mail messaging. Give her something to look forward to. Little gifts in the mail, an occasional surprise phone call...If it's really love and meant to be it will weather the separation. Often being apart forces you to communicate on a much deeper level as absents does make the heart grow fonder......

absolutely, definately write letters and send pictures.
send a video of you doing something fun or that you are proud of.
tape your family and send it to her.
keep things coming to her and youll leave her in a daze long enough until you get your hands on her again.
keep the phone calls up at least once a week also.
if ur sure youre serious about her its going to be quite cerebral so be ready. if youre not totally sure then dont waste the time in her life or yours for that matter. long distance is a serious drag.
consider the girth of the relationship before committing to attempting to sustain it. communicate how long it will be until she can expect you again. and no matter what...at least overcast that a bit so you wont disappoint her if shes willing to wait x amount of time.

that's hard, communication is the key, make sure trust is always there. I have long-distance relationship too, but i always see my guy every 3 months. and we trust each other, send cards, package. But we are very committed, we agreed that if we fall inlove to someone just tell each other, its better that way coz cheating and lying is not good thing. But that doesn't mean we are available. Just incase if the situation comes along. We always tell each other everything and if we see each other we make it unforgetable moments. Goodluck!

One must question why you'd rather have a relationship with someone with whom you can have no physical contact than with someone who lives in the same country as yourself. Are you afraid of having a real relationship?

Time to either relocate or end the "relationship" and find someone local.

Good luck to you.

I send flowers, cards, we talk everyday, avoid any kind of arguments. if you can get a webcam you can have fun with those trust me. and keep open lines of communication. let her know that you cant wait to be with her again. make sure she knows you miss her

You need to meet!

This would determine if it is worthwhile keeping things going.

I am personally a bit skeptical about long distance relationships such as yours, so I wish you luck.

Exchange photographs, if not done so far. If you both are really in love then propose and marry her.

teach her you language, if she doesn't know it, then she might be willing to learn. Or wright a song or poem for her. Girls love poems.
