Does it have to be water? Is it 1 litre a day or is it more? If it has to be water can I add juice to it to make it more interesting?

Thanks

They may count, but coffee contains toxins, so if you have a sluggish system this will only make it worse. Drink 2-3 litres per day, not 1, more if you have coffee. Add herbal teas-you can sweeten them and chill them to drink like soft drinks, and try sugar free squash- robinson's fruit & barley is delicious. Always have bottles of water in the fridge- it's much nicer chilled. It just takes getting used to, like anything else :)

I always thought it could only be water. But now the experts say that it can be tea or coffee as well. It actually says it now on some of the coffee jars that it does count toward your fluid intake. Good for me as I love my tea & coffee and find water boring.

really, water is best since it cleanses the toxins and hydrates the body. But, fluid is fluid and if you drink too much empty calories in your fluid (like in juice where most servings are around 120 calories each) that's fine too. Coffee, tea, and other caffeinated drinks are dehydrating, which defeats he purpose of drinking fluids to begin with. You can flavor your water with the individual packets they have out now, if you want to stay calorie free yet add flavor.

No. There is water in coffee, but coffe and tea are diuretics, which means they increase the volume of your urine, which means, that the fluids in your body will just get flushed out right away, and not replaced. Stick to water. You don't need to elimiate coffee, but just drink water along with it.

Tea and coffee actually dehydrate you so no, they don't count towards your fliuds in a day! Juice, water or herbal tea are the best.

Yes, however, note that both coffee and tea act as a mild diuretic, meaning that it does NOT hydrate your system. As everyone has suggested, water is best ... not to mention cheap.

It has to be water - it is the only thing that will flush out the system. Tea and water has caffeine and often sugar/ false sugar and/or cream
