I don't understand why men are so touchy just for not asking for their opinion!?! There are lots of men who ask questions and ask for WOMENS answers. Should we get all touchy for that?

You should tell your friend that the guy has a GF. If she doesn't know already she deserves to know. It isn't fair to break up someone elses relationship just because you want them yourselves. But you don't need to give her any advice, she can decide what to do about it then. I would have told her so she knew at least.

So what makes it a "web of deceit"? The fact that a guy who is free to date whomever he wishes to date does so? If there is no committed relationship, no "strings" then he can date 50 girls at the same time if he wants to. That's why it's called "dating", and not Marriage or engagement...there is nothing wrong with having friends.

I think that if you any sort of friend you would tell her the truth. Just tell her plain and simple - because what would be worse, her going out with a cheating dude and you having a guily consience all the time, or telling her and avoiding something messy while having a clear conscience.

Did you ever think that ignoring opinion of fifty percent of the population might be a warning sign that there are more serious problems there than what your talking about. Communication and honesty are pillars of why I have been married for over twenty three years. I think the idea of not trusting someones opinion because....sic....your a girl is sad...very very sad.

If your best friend is aware that the guy she is seeing is double-timing her, she should not need any advice. It should be clear to her that he is a waste of space and a waste of her time.

Just tell your best friend what it is that's bugging you. If your best friend doesn't listen, there's nothing you can do.

tell your bestfriend to know the guy first. or give her a warning. show and tell her how concern you are for her. tell her that you dont want her to be hurted. tell her the truth instead of doing nothing...
