there is a product that you will find only in a pharmacy or drug store called "BORIC ACID" I have used this product all over my home , even when I lived in an apartment complex, this product worked well,it may be a little expensive, but it is the best for getting rid of the roaches, Now, when you buy this product ,and IF the cashier ask what are you going to use it for, just read the directions on the label and respond to what the direction says, why, you may ask? cause this product is entended for another use,not for roaches, any ways, after you have this product in your hands, keep in mind that this stuff is harmful to humans if taken internally,go to the grocery store and in the isle that has the sprays and chemicals for roaches and ants...etc.find a product for getting rid of roaches ,that is in a powder form, dont be fooled that when find the powder to get rid of roaches that it does the same thing, well it doesnt, the stuff in the pharmacy works alot better, and read the directions and do as as it says, the BORIC ACID is in a powder form, the way I used it is I located a spoon,a spoon that I didnt return to the table for eating, and I first spread this powder all over the kitchen, behind the fridge, way back in the cabinets, in the pantry, around and in the stove, behind the hutch, any where that food is exposed and out of reach of children, outside? I spread the acid around the house, near my grill, and again out of reach of children and pets,I even went the distance of throwing this powder on all the roaches and letting them carry the powder on its back to the nest where all the roaches are nesting, and in about five to ten days, the roach colony reduced to almost nothing and for a whole year they were kept to a minimum....good luck

We cover our bbq with a bbq cover that zips up completely so nothing can get in. You may even be able to put a couple of cockroach baits around the base to scare them a little.
