Why? Does the goldfish have a fungal infection or something. If you have tried suitable medication and the problem still exists and it obvious that the goldfish is suffering, take it out of the pond, bowl or whatever and cover it with newspaper and with one swift blow to the head, you will have killed the fish humanely.
If all else fails stick your head in the fish bowl and drowned yourself.Good luck!
Ah but is A Goldfish not the name of a credit card? In which case cut it up in pieces and be done with it. Never mind trying to flush it down the loo it will always resurface.
What comes next we have had the spiders and the goldfish..??
Thinking about it if I were you I would leave off eating the cheese before you go to bed..

It's the middle of the night/morning and there are a bunch of people on Yahoo trying to help a guy figure out a better method of Goldfish destruction -- go figure. Okay, since we are all jumping off the cliff, I have my personal favorite method. Years ago I found out you can't destroy them, or even piss them off easily. It requires serious time, effort, and planning. This fish has probably already got you figured out so you will have to act faster than I normally would recommend. Grab the nearest turkey baster, suck him up in it, drive down to your local mini mart and inject him into a large plastic cup. Then, immediately fill that cup with the largest combination of Slurpee flavors available. The taste won't get him, but the bubbles will - Goldfish are deathly allergic to Iced Carbonation. The reason for all the flavors is the variety ---- no one should have to die of boredom!!!! Lots of Luck.

Based on the latest research done the best way is to send the fish some ear plugs, nose-grip and some plastic bands with write asking the fish to use the ear plugs on its nostrils, the ear-plugs on its two opercles (they might call it gill cover too) and put the plastic band on its mouth. It has been reported that this method has been quite successful. Don't hesitate to contact me if you needed any further help or information.

you need to exercise it first, take it out of the water place it on a table (any table will do) watch it doing sit ups till it's pretty exhausted (say 30 minutes) then place it back in the water. it should hang around the top for a while. Go away and make yourself a cup of tea, by the time you get back it should have drowned.
note: this isn't as effective with turtles.

Easy...........get into the fish tank.......under water.....and stick the gold fish out while u're under water.....it should work..............PLUS you need a Goldfinger to drown a Goldfish
