i put some money into someones bank last week,i went into the bank to do it.i forgot to get a reciept.the person is telling me the money is not in his account.i trust this person to tell the truth so i believe its a problem on the bank fromt.if i was to go into the bank (hsbc) and tell them the account number,name ect and the date i put the money in woild they be able to help me locate were it has gone??

It'll show on their statement and the teller would be able to let you know if the money went into the account or not. It should be in the account you put it in unless the dirty teller pocketed it. They have cameras there so I highly doubt they did that. Your friend should have it in their account. Check with the bank and you'll know for sure.

Depending on when you put the money in there, it might not have shown yet. If you put it in on Friday, it might not show up til Monday night. I don't think you would get any info from the teller, but I would go with this person to the bank and ask to see the teller you gave the money to and see if they remember. In the future, give the receipt to the person you put the money in for.

Go to the bank immediately and talk to them about it.

I would try, but I doubt it. Why would you not get a receipt?
