Attending a wedding for the first time, a little girl whispered
to her mother, "Why is the bride dressed in white?"

"Because white is the color of happiness and today is the
happiest day of her life." Her mother tried to explain, keeping
it simple.

The child thought about this for a moment, then said, "So, why
is the groom wearing black?"

I last attended a wedding a year ago, and Im proud to say I was a Bridesmaid for it. I wore a beautiful Burgandy coloured dress. The Bride wore an amazing White Gown and the Groom wore a Dashing Burgandy coloured Suit jacket which stopped at his knees. It really doesnt matter what colours you choose for your Wedding but obviously White dresses and Black suits are a Traddition so many people will go with these colours. Wether the colour schemes are tradditional or wacky ~ the day itself will ALWAYS be a happy one that will be shared with all the people you love and care for. Why does it matter what colour the dressing is? Its like asking "Why are some people white and others black?". I personally think White is the perfect colour for a Wedding anyway, I would wear it myself! But as I said, anyone is entitled to wear what the hell they want, wether its White, Black or Alluminous Yellow! Lol

Went a couple of months ago to a family friends - quite funny the parents of the groom didnt know he drank so he had to have a beer on the quiet. It was nice, seems all the recent weddings i have been too are just no good. As long as the bride enjoys it eh?

I've been to 5 this year- 3 of which were for family members who are younger than me, which leaves me as the Official Bridget Jones of my family... at the age of 23. How annoying!

Weddings can be a real pain in the bum. You pay for the train, the hotel, the present, a new outfit and most of the time they don't even bother with free booze anymore! Plus no one cares about my new dress, cuz it's all about the bride! NO FUN.

Lol.

Cute story, I love the things that come out of kid's mouths! They are so funny, and you never know what they will say next!

As for your questions, the last wedding I was at was my husband's best friend. He was a groomsman, and I adore the man, so we went out of love and support for the couple.
I have my sister's wedding to go to next month, and I will be attending for the same reasons. Being a guest at a wedding shows that you care about the person, you want to help them celebrate their day, and you are showing your support in their decision.

the last wedding i attending was my own on the 08 July 2006. it was a truly amazing day. i had a horse and carriage, and the kids where all watching and saying 'hello married woman', got to the church and my sister-in-law was late (she couldn`t stop apologising) but i told her not to worry as it calmed my nerves. i had a gorgeous white dress with lots of pearls and sequins. whilst i was stood at the aisle next to my husband to be my train was half way up the church towards the end of the night everyone was kicking it out the way. i couldn`t carry my daughter down the stairs as i thought i was going to trip over my dress/train and drop her. the photographer got my husband and the best man mixed up as they both begin with s (he almost got me divorced before i had the chance to celebrate my wedding) lol. i attending my wedding for the obvious reason i wanted to marry my now husband and be with him for the rest of my life.

2 years ago and it was very boring. My friend fought with his brother so I had to be best man. Didn't know anyone there. The bride and groom broke up 2 weeks after the wedding/honey moon.

I guess me and weddings just ain't matched!

I dont know but weddings are sopposed to be happy but quickly become in to stress cases.
White means all of what u said but it also means the woman is a VIRGEN. Which has lost its value too
Men wear black becuz its a tradition. Men consider it a funeral to thier single life
The last time I went to a wedding it was my aunts about 2 months ago, it was in vegas, quick and easy. Nothing fancy, Just plain and elegant
