If your heart is really with your ex girlfriend, you're cheating on your current girlfriend anyways. Its already unfair to the current girlfriend that she doesn't have you 100%, especially if she is giving all of herself to you. The only real resolution as hard as it is to do is to be with your old girlfriend. It may be hard for the current girlfriend to get over but if your heart wasn't there, you guys were going to break up eventually anyways and she would've had to get over it. You would be doing her a favor by leaving her and allowing her to find someone who is good for her who will want nobody but her. Be with the old girlfriend and hopefully you guys will find happiness, but if not....don't go running back to the current girlfriend.

there is no easy way to tell anyone that you don't want to be with them, it hurts. However, you can't stay with a person you don't want to be with either so you have to get on with the finishing bit. Be honest, it's best face to face, somewhere private, tell her you have tried but it isn't working for you, tell her she is a great person and deserves a guy whoo will really love her, but it's not you. I would not at this point tell her your intentions regarding your ex girlfriend, it would be like hitting her in the face, part nicely. I would also not jump back into relationship with ex straight away either, wait at least a month, you need to make sure it's what you want this time, get a clear head and think. If you are meant to be together then a month is neither here or there.

Get off your high horse!, be a man for a change, you took the responsibility to date this new girl, now an old flame wants back in, so you want to end the relationship with your new squeeze, does this sound fair to you?
does she deserve this, she was there when you needed to be pickuped, now she is yesterdays garbage to you?.. grow up and tell the old flame, just like last years tax forms, she is no longer valid!

get 2 of your gf and take them both for a dinner, tell them both when you guys are having your dinner that you both like them both and tell them this: hey, I love you both the same, but the problem is, is that I can't pick from both of you because I like you both, so here is what I'm going to do, I will have you both as my girlfriend, we will have a schedule that when can we have a double date and a single date, which is, only one of you guys will have a date with me each day but not everyday... and that's what I can do right now...

Dude, forget your old girlfriend! You broke up for a reason, and that reason will not go away so easily! If you do not love your new girlfriend, then go ahead and break up with her. But stay away from your old girlfriends! Good luck!

You should think about Y you broke up with your old girlfriend first to , then if you still want her then you have to try to be as kind to your new one as you can, but you have to be honest , its going to hurt her but better to let her know now then hurt her more latter on

You do what you want. Your new girlfriends response is not your responsibility. Be gentle when you tell her but do tell her. It's unfair to both of you, as you said, to stay in a relationship while you love someone else.
No one wants to be a consolation prize.

Just tell her flat out. If you're worried about how she may react, tell her over the phone. I don't suggest doing it in public to avoid a scene. Just make sure you have all your thoughts in order and are ready for anything she might throw at you.
