Tender ribs can be attained by slow cooking in liquid. Depending on how large a rack you have. I get the standard and I let it cook for three hours at 350 degrees. MAKE SURE THE LIQUID COVERS THE RIBS!

I think boiling them loses some of the flavor. I double wrap them in foil sealed tight and cook them slow (200 degrees) for at least 5-6 hours and they will fall right off the bone and not lose any flavor. If they are real fatty, you might want to unwrap and pour off some of the fat about half way thru. I also sometimes put some dry BBQ rub on them when I drain the fat and that flavors them too. But mostly I like the plain meat flavor. You can also unwrap and put on the pit for about 15 minutes to get the smokey flavor if you want, but this does dry them out some and you have to leave the foil under them because they are so tender they will fall apart on the grill....Yummm wish I had some now.

Okay, here is the best way to make ribs. I have boiled them before and was informed of this way. I do this all the time now. You add your spices to you ribs. Put them in refridgerator for atleast 2 hours. Preheat oven to 350. Bake them for about 45 mins. to an hour. Take them out and add Bar-B-Que sauce and put on the grill long enough to sear the sauce. They are guaranteed to fall off the bone and your guests will rave how great they are. This hasn't failed me yet.

Personally, I never boil. I marinate them overnight in an Italian dressing to which I add the juice from 1 lemon and some hickory smoke flavoring and oven roast in a covered pan slow at low temp.
when they are cooked mid rare I put them on the grill and brush with my favorite BBQ sauce.
Yummy & tender.

You shouldn't boil your ribs because it takes the flavor away. You should marinate them over nite with Wishbone Italian dressing, and your choice of seasonings. They will be tender enough to smack yourself sleep. lol Good luck.

i take my ribs and season with my rub then i place them in a roasting pan and i pour about a1 inch below the top ribs in the roasting pan 2 beers and finish to get liquid level to the 1 inch and to this i add 1/4 cup liquid smoke.....then i seal in foil twice and place in a 275 oven for 2.1/2 hrs...the rub i use is garlic ,...salt pepper.....cayenne(little)...you can use a comerical rub they are good..it is that i dont want the rub to over power my BBQ sauce..if its to strong then it changes my sauce...these ribs will be tender....but you do have to be careful as when you walk by someone sitting at the table there tongue may fly out of there mouth and not you over to get at the ribs....happy bbqing

I don't boil them. I marinate them overnight. They're really tender too. I've tried boiling them but they wind up being real tough.
