I am trying to use a PC sound system on a old Mini Component I have which only has L and R Speaker wire output.

DO NOT HOOK IT UP THAT WAY!!!!

You're going to fry your sub woofer!!

You can't hook a speaker output to a line-level input. If the stereo has either "tape out" or "record out" you could use one of these to hook it up--but only if the computer speakers have their own volume.

You're probably not going to be able to hook this up how you want it. But don't get angry. You're lucky I saw this question before one of these yahoos gave you enough information to get it hooked up and FRY your speakers!

I don't know where the other two people are getting their info. What you need is called an attenuator. I don't think Best Buy or Radio Shack will have one. I work in an electronic parts store and we have at least 10 times more adapters and cables than Radio Shack and Best Buy combined. I did find a device that will do what you want. It's made by Calrad and it's a 25-347. You can see it at www.calrad.com.

Yes, It is a $5 piece that Best Buy/Radio Shack should have in stock if you walk in.

you can do it your self strip the wire and join it together if done it!!!!!! and im a girl!!!!!
