Yes I would allow you to do CPR on me if it was medically needed, and even if you broke my ribs I would be grateful. Sure, we could be friends...I would be forever indebted to you, but I wouldnt go as far as marrying a complete stranger, especially without knowing if you are male or female LOL.

If I needed CPR, I don't think I would be in a position to pick and chose who performed it on me. I would not sue if I survived. Along those lines, we were once at a state park and someone was drowning in the lake and when they pulled him out, my husband against my wishes, began to perform CPR on him, with the help of an RN who happened to be present. It was the first time I had ever seen CPR performed on a real person and it was awful. The nurse was performing the mouth to mouth and my husband was doing the chest compressions. Dirty lake water mixed with vomit and foam was coming out of his mouth and my husband did break some of his ribs, and you could hear the loud crack when they broke. Again, it was horrible. Sadly, the man died without ever reviving, even thought the paramedics arrived quickly and took over the resusitation, he did not make it. I don't think I will ever get over the horror of it and I wonder if he had survived if he would have sued for the broken ribs? Probably, because people sue for everything these days, and I really admire that nurse, because I don't think I would have put my mouth on his with all that stuff coming out. Might make me selfish, but I don't think I would have.

Are you certified, and don't have HIV or AIDS? If you're certified, sure. If you're certified and are indeed HIV positive or have AIDS, I hope you carry a pocket respirator.
And for the record, the Good Samaritan Law prevents you from being sued for broken bones in the event you are certified. However, if you knowingly pass on HIV/AIDS without using precautions, you can be sued.
EDIT: For the ignorant, it's quite common to break the sternum and some ribs whilst adminstering chest compressions. You try pushing on someone's chest hard enough to pump his heart for him and not break any bones - it's not going to happen.

Well first of all I would let you do CPR on me. I dont think I would have much of a choice : )! Second of all I dont think that I would sue you if indeed you saved my life. Now if you broke my ribs then I dont know. That is a hard choice. IT would all depends on the situation. Hope I answered your question.

Yes I would "allow" you to preform CPR on me (although I really wouldn't have a choice if I truly need CPR). In my state you couldn't be sued, we have a "Good Samaritan" law that gives you immunity in "life saving endeavors". Of course we can be friends after, you did save my life.We would have to see how the friendship went before tackling the "marry me".

Do you even know CPR - or do you just watch too many medical shows? CPR is performed on a dead person (IF THEY WEREN'T DEAD - they wouldn't need CPR - duh) Would you sue me - If I was HIV positive and you caught it from MTM? Think about that...who is really at risk - you or the dead person? You will l be heartened to know that even layperson (inexperienced) CPR is better than NO CPR - IF there is any chance for the victim.

I wouldn't be mad if you were qualified to administer CPR on my. If I got sick from you're mouth, I'd be pissed. If you broke my ribs, you were doing the CPR wrong, and I'd be pissed... but I probably wouldn't sue, unless you're really really rich. Cuz I'm not. Same with marriage... are you rich?

if you have your CPR certification and you break a persons ribs trying to revive you, you cannot legally be sued due to the good samaritins law. but if there is someone you try to do first aid on, you must ask their permission to work on them unless they are unconscious, then their permission is implied. if you need any further information, go to the american red cross's website.

I wouldn't sue you for saving my life. I think it's terrible that people actually do this!
I may well ask you out afterwards, especially as we'd have already had our first kiss (of life) as long as you're female, that is. ;-P
