By the way Richard C the offense is being in charge of a motor vehicle whilst under the influence of drink or drugs.but who knows in that state you wuold not have wanted him on the same bit of road as you if he had been awake

If he wasn't rich and famous, you wouldn't even have heard about it.

Why can't anyone spell his surname right? In fact, I'm willing to bet that even a stoned George could spell better than the queston first posed. Famouse? leathal?
Fact is he's a tortured soul. The police dealt with him in the same way they'd deal with anyone else in possession of a class C drug. He wasn't driving either. The car was stationery so no serious driving offence was committed. Having said that my cousin was banned from driving despite having gone to sleep in the car after beers in a car park - he hadn't even moved!

I couldn't believe it when I read that this morning. He's in the middle of a bloody tour and he's up to the old drug-taking, shagging-in-parks nonsense.
I don't think George is going to live much longer. His life seems to be in freefall and he's taking huge risks taking drugs and meeting up with strangers for sex all the time. Either he'll OD, crash his car, get stabbed by some rent boy or catch AIDS.
Pity, he's a talented guy. What a waste.

Judges feel sorry for them..Unfortunately George Micheal has the same lucky streak that Pete docherty has..if they were the same as average 'Joe bloggs' the book would have been thrown ages ago.. but money in this day and age speak more..to say he is bored .what a load of bull.. isn't it a cry for help..I used to admire George but now I just see him as a sad little man.. he can get away with anything...and does

He certainly does seem to get away with a lot according to the press and the media.
He has been bailed so perhaps he was also drunk/drugged and will get a driving ban this time.
But NO we wouldn't be banged up until trial - the prisons are going to be FULL up by Thursday apparently!

Yep I agree. This is getting beyond a joke, 3 months inside and a substantial driving ban are in order. Get this maniac off the streets before he kills someone.

It shouldn't matter if you are famous or not the law should be the same. I am a great fan of GM but he is letting himself down. being famous is something stars use as an excuse for their addictions...what rubbish. yes it is his life but don't bring outside your home George. after all said and done the British press are.....

It's Pete Docherty syndrome again - he's rich and famous therefore he gets away with it. One law for them and one for the rest of us.

He has lost the plot. They need to haul him in and give him the help he needs. Obviously a very unhappy man.
