I agree that's it's never possible to be friends with an ex - there's too much history and possible negative feelings if you've been involved to a long time. I would certainly never want to keep in touch with any of my exs.

It all depends on the type of love there was with this EX!
Every relationship is different and also the type of Love that was involved. During our life the majority of people have several Love relationships and each one is different!
Some relationships that end doesn't mean that the Love is over, it just means that their goals , personality etc....have changed. However, even though the couple is no longer together, there will also be an invisible connection between the two that will never end This is the type of EX that it is not possible to be friends with.
Good Luck!

It possible to be friend with an ex. I'm on fairly good terms with most of mine, in fact we still sleep together occasionly (not while we're dating other people). Love doesnt suddenly vanish. You can tell when its not going to work out. The sooner you end it the better, the remaining love should negate any animosity. Better to have a good friend than some bitter ex.
But it depends on the both of you.

Well I am with most of them, we are very good friends because they know me. Its not a problem as long as there is no unfinished businesses or feelings lingering in the air. You really can be good friends but I always introduce then to my present man & make sure he knows that the person he met is an ex & friend

Yes, you can be still friends with an ex. When you accept that "it was never meant to be" with them, and get past all the hurts and anger, it is very possible to remain friends with them.
As long as you still have "feelings" for her, and you let all those feelings get in the way of forming a rational relationship with her, you can never be friends yet.

I believe that one cannot truly be friends with an ex, most of the time. My best friend is super good friends with one of her ex boyfriends, so the possibility is out there! Don't worry, if you can't be friends, the pain will lessen over time... I've been there; we've all been there.

Yes, especially if this is a first love. They only way you can be friend w/an ex is if the feelings are completely gone. Sometimes we can't be friends w/ex's is if your ego was crashed, or you were cheated on,ect. Sometimes in relationships you are better friends then together.

I am the best friends with my ex now. And this is after we had tortured each other for 10 years of our marriage and almost killed each other during the divorce.
