What is there to think really, I would have thought after being on yahoo answers for any more than a couple of minutes you would have been aware of the rather unfortunate fact, that a lot of people on here are misguided, brainwashed and probably couldn't think themselves out of a paper bag.
Religion does funny things to people - like over-ride all reason and common sense.
It is wierd, because in England people tend to be a bit less, how shall I put it... "over the top", but it would appear that America is still in the grip of religious fervour, for want of a better term.

Christianity in the United States has done more to build up than any other single identifiable entity, yet many 'free thinkers' have nothing better to do than point fingers and say 'brainwashed'. His answer reflects the sentiments of a great many Christians, who are hearing that 'Jesus must be banned' in almost every segway of American culture, yet tolerance of Islamo-fascism, music that tells our children to kill themselves and police officers, and the wholesale slaughter of unborn children for the sake of the almighty dollar goes unanswered.
I say, RIGHT ON, DAVE C, and to you, you should be more concerned about what God says and not what men say. IF, and pay attention, I SAID IF God tells you to go to hell, there ain't no turnin' back!

Also, I have been looking at your posts... You seem to be spreading a lot of hate towards religious people. I admit, I don't like them either and I tend to agree with a lot of anti-religion posts, but I don't usually start topics just to piss them off like you do.
I would suggest if you don't like hearing from them, you stay out of the topic and leave it to others.

I read his answer and I don't think he was talking about you, but society in general. Watch a little TV and you will see that "gangsters" crooks etc are often glorified, but evangelical Christians a represented as crazy. I think he has a good point.

Unfortunately that is what it is....textbook type answers. Religion has been scaring people into a strict way of thinking for so long that people do not think for themselves when it comes to spirituality. Religion sets boundaries that people think they must stay within, other wise they think....am I going to hell for this? It is very sad to think that some of these people, who are very smart in other ways, cannot break away from the box they have put themselves in spiritually. They are focusing to much on religion and neglecting their spirituality.
