this morning my 11 year old daughter asked me if my great grandma was human, I said yes why, and she replied they found an ape skull, and I think it was about the time your great grandma was alive, has your child or someone child ever made you feel old?

One day in the grocery store my oldest child ( she was like 4 at the time) asked me if dinosaurs were alive when I was a little girl. I was shocked but the 2 little old ladies ggot the biggest kick ot it. That was one day I really felt OLD. Since that day my youngest ( she is 4 ) is totally coming up with something off the wall and totally hilarious. Enjoy it while it last because they grow up so quick.

A 5 year old child from my class was heard saying Mr L... doesn't have a wife he has a man to open the front door for him. That was sweet, also although I'm well into my 30's I had a hard time convincing the children that I was in fact an adult, they said have you brothers and sisters, when I said yes they said see you're not an adult.

this didnt make me feel old but made me laugh!

i was in the local shop about 5 years ago when i overheard the woman behind the till talking too her 6 year old son about phoning family back in india.
he said 'mum, are you from india?'
'yes' said mum
to which he replied 'why did you come to earth?'

i have a 3 year old who says amusing things all the time but it still makes me smile to think this boy thought his mom was from another planet!

my nephew (five years old) was explaining a game for us all the play, we couldn't understand it so we asked him to explain again when suddenly he dramatically turned around put his hand to his head in a theatrical way and stated in a posh voice 'i don't know why i bother' it was sooo funny i was crying.

my mom told me that when i was about the same age i came home from school and we sat down at the table for dinner when i looked straight at her and asked if i could call her 'd**k head' i must have picked it up in the play ground. She just turned around and said no i don't think so. I wish i had that on tape.

When my middle sister was little she asked my Mum about how life was when she was little. Mum told her a few things (no TV, no central heating etc) so sister then asked her, "Was that when the dinosaurs were still alive?" in all innocence! It's become a family legend.

When my daughter was about 3 I was going thru a box of mementos from when her dad and I were dating.

There was a bandana that he used to wear tied around his head and for some odd reason I saved it.

When I took it out, I told her, "This used to be daddy's bandana."

She got all wide-eyed and said, "WOW, When did my dad used to be a Cowboy?"

Also, when she was misbehaving I would sit her in the chair and tell her that when she was ready to behave, she could get up.

She used to yell from the other room to me, "OK, I'm done being fun-ished (instead of punished). I'm being have." (instead of behaving)
