Give the old bulbs away to someone else (who already uses incandescent bulbs) rather than throw them away. Then switch to using the low energy ones.

Replace them with the low-energy ones. Then keep your old ones stored away for emergencies/replacements when the other ones finally blow and you can't get to the store to replace them right away.

Unless you can recycle the old bulbs, I'd use em until they burn out. Or use the regular bulbs in the lamps that don't get used very often. (guest room) or in areas where they may not last as long. (outside)

Hay whether they burn out or not you are going to replace them and now or later they will be going into landfill, or they should actually be recycled cause glass and metal are recyclable. So just replace them now and bring your electric bill down.
