Satanic verses..Salman Roshdy wasn't welcomed in the west for nothing....this is his imaginaion..read the verses clearly:
19. Have ye seen Lat. and 'Uzza,

20. And another, the third (goddess), Manat?

21. What! for you the male sex, and for Him, the female?

22. Behold, such would be indeed a division most unfair!

23. These are nothing but names which ye have devised,- ye and your fathers,- for which Allah has sent down no authority (whatever). They follow nothing but conjecture and what their own souls desire!- Even though there has already come to them Guidance from their Lord!

now from the verses above can you imagine the first two verses give a meaning alone?
then there is no Sajda at this part or sequence..the meaning of the verses is only completed when you read the rest of the verses and the first 2 alone don't give the meaning of greaness o the pagan Gods as Salman claimed.

He wasn't wanted by Iran for nothing if you ask me.

There is no such thing as Satanic Verses in Quran. It's simply a manipulation by Salman Rushdie to divert those who do not know Quran from accepting Islam. Fortunately even though Salman's intentions are bad, his book Satanic Verses brought hundreds of new converts to islam. Alhamdulillah (All praise be to Allah)! Because people are not stupid, after they read his book they go and check the Quran and read it carefully with the whole tafsir (explanation). And after doing their research they come to conclusion that Salman is liar, and Islam is the God's religion.

Non-Muslims thinks that in that book Rushdie just abuse Islam & Muhammad but if read his book he abuse everyone including Hindu's , British rulers and others non muslims.
