We *are* part of nature, therefore it is natural. There is a reason behind it, I am not sure what the reason is but I doubt it is supernatural.
Do you think being Gay is a supernatural occurrence, or natural occurrence?

anyone,
Nah, it was not you. I just see a lot of people saying it is not natural. I was curious what they meant by it.
Everyone else,
Sorry, when I said "we" I meant humans not gay people. Humans (which include gay people btw;p) are a product of nature, and therefore so are our actions.

I'm sorry. It was me. I said at the time that I wasn't trying to hate on any gay people, but my perception of the world is from a heterosexual point of view. I can't help it. I didn't call it supernatural though. Do you mean to say that anything that isn't natural has to be supernatural? Like, hm, I don't know...styrofoam? Styrofoam isn't natural, but I never really thought of it as SUPERnatural either. More of just an artificial kind of thing. I don't mean that gays are artificial, but maybe gay sex is an artificial substitute for the real thing. I'm sorry again. This isn't working out well. I didn't want to offend you. Here, have a look at this diagram:
OO
Do you see? Neither of the O's can penetrate the other. Now look at this one:
ii
They just stand there next to each other without being able to connect. Now how about this:
O
I
Here, something could happen; the intermingling of opposites; the completion of each half of the whole. I can't show exactly how it works because the Yahoo people would punish me for posting porn, but if you use your imagination...
Okay that's enough.
I really don't care if you want to have gay sex, but there are a couple of things I do care about. I care that each of us feels fully deserving of and entitled to a long-term, committed relationship. If you would like to marry your partner, I won't stand in your way.
You're you I'm me
The other thing I'm concerned about is that if I go to a church, I don't walk through the door talking about how much I love pu**y, even though it's true. That isn't what is supposed to happen at church. Or in most polite places. If I don't talk about my heterosexuality everywhere I go, what makes you think I want to hear about your homosexuality? Is this a case of fairness only being fair if it's more fair for you than for me?
The way you've phrased your question- natural or supernatural- makes it much too easy for a progressive thinker like me to come up with the third choice, but I'm going to let someone else say it.

I think it is simply a part of you you were born with. It could be, as some people think, a hormonal imbalance or a chemical imbalance, but I have my doubts.
People have a hard time believing it because they don't want to admit that we, as "Gods children" could be born to act this way. It goes against their faith 110%, which is why they bash on gays so much.
Just ignore them and let them rot in the hell they believe so fondly in.
How does the saying go? Judge not lest ye be judged?
**EDIT*** MUSH! I hope you read this. You are SO amazingly different than most of the religious types on here. It is refreshing and wonderful to see someone who is religious not posting another hate message on gay questions! Kudos to you!
**EDIT 2 :) **
WHoever asked how it can be natural or else our race would die out... Excuse me? Did you forget the billions of people who AREN'T GAY? Just because it is natural doesn't mean everyone is. Think before you speak, if you can manage to do that.

It is perfectly natural, regardless of Religion's 'two cents worth'. I am a Wiccan Witch, but even if I wasn't I would accept it. Who are we to judge nature?
To above, you cannot 'become' gay, you are born gay. It is in the blood/genes/soul, where ever it is, it is there from the beginning.
To 'anyone' - have you never heard of anal or oral sex?? Do you think that a c**k has to penetrate a p**sy to be called sex? I don't think so!
Daliaadel - proof please? Where is the proof that gay people don't live as long???

Although we haven't found the gene that defines homosexuality, there have been studies that show it to be biological to some degree. I read on CQ researcher that babies who were given soy based formula were more likely to produce high amounts of estrogen, causing the delay of the onset of puberty and the lack of production of testosterone. I, myself, couldn't begin to believe it had anything to do with the supernatural. I firmly believe one day the answer will be found and it will be biological and it will finally put an end to all the ignorance. You are natural. Don't ever believe otherwise.

First of all, I am not condemning or judging but from what I read (researches on the topic), it is believed to be a matter of personal choice rather than an obligation.
Different factors lead to this result (that you feel obliged to be gay and having no choice) like environment, early childhood experiences, etc.
About 50% (as far as I remember) from the gay and lesbian people in the research found it possible to quit being gay or lesbian and found it better.
Gay and lesbian people have a shorter life span too.
May Allah guide us all to the right path. Bless you.

Hello!! :o) I think a lot of people make the mistake of assuming that IF something is 'natural' TO [some] humans is it also something approved of by God. But MAN by his very 'nature' is not approved of by God. That's why we all have to be 'saved'. One could ask, "Is it natural for man to engage in homosexual sex?" OR one could ask, "Does God approve of those who engage in homosexual sex?" They are two completely separate questions. Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

What's to even say 'natural' is equated with 'good' anyway?
Cyanide is natural, tsunamis are natural, mosquitos are natural.... hell, nature even gave us George W. Bush.... on second thought, maybe he's just a robot with a corroded grammar chip.

It's quite well documented that other mammals, invertebrates, and even some insects practice homosexuality.
Nothing unnatural.
And it's good for the environment! Helps curb our "unnatural" population growth!
