no you cant lose that much but ten pounds in five weeks is doable, dont eat any carbs, no bread, no cereal, no noodles, no pasta, no rice, no sugar, eat green and yellow veggies and tomatoes, cooked or in salads, use low cal dressing with out carbs, carb smart is a good brand, eat broiled or baked fish without any crumb coating, or baked or broiled skinless chicken breast, low fat cottage cheese, low fat milk and low fat artifically sweetened yogurt are fine, an egg a day is ok, raw fruit is ok. try eating a poached or boiled egg or scrambled egg with no butter in it, just pan spray, and a half grapefruit or tangerine or something of that sort for breakfast, carry a small apple with you to have during a break at school if you have one, then for lunch eat a salad maybe topped with grilled chicken, then for dinner have baked fish, broccoli , or green beans, and maybe a cup of cottage cheese with a tomato or just a little pineapple. drink only water, or diet drinks or artificially sweetened teas, oh potatoes are a no no too. and for dessert you can have a cup of sugar free jello with a little bit of non fat whipped topping on it. a couple of table spoons full. if you get hungry eat celery or raw carrots . limit your salt usage too as that will hold a lot of water in your body, i think in 5 weeks you would really see a difference, and if you do some exercises along with it, you will see even more changes. good luck

If you don't want to be fat you need to change your life, not diet. Diets only help for the moment and if you don't change your life you will be back where you started in no time.
First of all you should look at your weight and height and measure how you compare to others your age. Some girls that is perfectly normal feels the need to lose weight and in reality they might need to gain muscle, not lose weight.
10 pounds in 5 weeks doesn't sound like a good idea, you can do it but it's not the healthy way to do it. Losing weight that fast can change your metabolism and make it hard for you to keep your weight later on. A more realistic goal is 3 - 5 pound in 4 weeks.
Eat vegetables and no too sweet fruit. Grapes and pears can be very sweet as an example. Eat less fat but you still need some fat to help your body. Balance it with some meet and milk products. Also don't eat between meals if you feel hungry the chances are that you can stop the hunger by drinking water.
Exercise. Look at how much you move around and if you need to move around more during your day. 20 min more can make a difference.

Diet can only take you so far. Work out. Try power walking, not just mildly stepping to where you're going. Work your arms, tighten your ab muscles, and butt muscles. Drink WATER all day, not soda. Eat a high protein diet, cut the crap out of your diet. You've covered nutrition somewhere in school. Eat foods with less carb, sugar, and fat content. Binging is hard to quit. IN fact, I was slimming down, and I've had a super charged appetite for a week, and probably put on 5-7 pounds. It's hard to give up. But try the powerwalking, and changing your diet. There's no miracle diet, or miracle pill. Do it yourself. I lost inches in weeks powerwalking. But you have to put power into it. Thats worked better than any work out I've done previously. I've had a kid, I went from a 9 to a 16. I know about weight gain, and weight loss. I was back down to a 9 in 7 months. Now I'm up to a 12. I just need to get my walking going again. You can do it, I have faith. PLease let me know how it turns out for you!

Eat several (5-6) small meals a day...your body will burn calories faster and build your metabolism in a short period of time.
(eat about every 2 hours)
The first 8-10 pounds you shed is water.
Meal suggestions:
piece of fruit
string cheese, summer sausage, cottage cheese/yogurt
tuna/turkey/ham sandwich (lettuce, tomatoe optional)
soup
raw veggies
boiled eggs
popcorn
Always eat a good dinner...meat, potatoes/pasta/rice, veggie...your body needs carbs, protein and vitamins to stay healthy
Low calorie sweets...ginger snaps, fig bars, 100% juice popsicles
Drink plenty of water
Drink milk or juice/water with every meal (no soda pop)
Stay away from munchies, fried & fatty foods.
Cardio exercise is great, but most people don't continue for an extended period, do "daily" simple exercise like walking/hiking, biking and swimming are low impact, play games like basketball, baseball, or volleyball will help to lose weight, tone your body, make new friends and you'll have fun doing it.
