I am a little confused about the chapter of the bible "revelations' and how the bibble views death in general.

My main question is that "when a person dies - will they be "judged" straight away or will they have to wait until the end of the world comes. When the end of the world comes, does that mean every person who has ever lived there will rise from their grave and be judged?"

Please help me!

We don't know for sure. Either of the scenarios you mentioned would be plausible.

I tend to believe we will be judged at the moment of death. At least up until the rapture. The people raptured by Christ when He returns must have already been judged and found worthy or else Jesus wouldn't have caught them up to Him. Also, the thief on the cross must have been judged as Jesus told him that today he would be with Him in paradise. I believe all the people that converted to Christianity after the rapture will be judged along with the unbelievers at the end of the tribulation during the final judgment. Matthew 25:33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.

I believe when you die you are judged and your soul goes either to a temporary heaven called paradise or a temporary hell (Hades) depending on if you are a Christian or not. After the final judgment IMO we will receive our glorified bodies that we will possess for eternity. All believers, with glorified bodies will go to the new heaven and earth, while the unbelievers that were in hell or still alive during the final judgment will get thrown into the lake of fire for eternity.

That's my take on it anyway.

Addition:
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

These verses reflect the fact that when believers die their spirit goes to be with the Lord. The "dead in Christ will rise first" verse is saying that the believers that have died (before the rapture) whose souls are already with God (they were judged at death) will be reunited with their bodies first, before the rapture of the believers that are alive. This is the Resurrection of the body and the union of the glorified body and spirit, which occurs at the return of Jesus Christ.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it.

Our physical bodies made of flesh will return to dust as it was made of dust. Our souls are not sleeping, they are with God. Our bodily Resurrection takes place when Jesus returns at the end and our glorified body and spirit are reunited for eternity.

....that's my final take on it...I could be wrong...All I'm sure of is that I'll be with God in heaven one day. How I get there makes no difference to me.

Ecc 9:5 says the dead know not anything. Many verses in the Bible point to a death as a rest - then two resurrections.

The resurrection of the Just will happen after the great tribulation which will be caused by government bodies of this world, sending us back into the dark ages.

After this, and after the appearance of the false prophet (false Jesus); The real Jesus will return from the sky, with all his holy angels with him - the people of the earth will mourn and hide their faces from him "Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us." (Luke 23:30) - "and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." Then the rest of the wicked will be destroyed from the earth, and Satan will be bound for 1000 years as the righteous reign 1000 years in heaven with Jesus.

After the 1000 year reign, the city of God - New Jerusalem will descend from the heavens with the just inside, and shall land upon the mount of olives (and cover the entire promised lands promised to Abraham)

Then the rest of the dead will rise, surround the holy city of God, and satan himself will deceive these people one last time into attacking the golden city - then God will have no choice but to destroy them.

This is summed up in Revelation 19 and 20. If you want you can email me for a full Bible study on the subject (i was abit brief) - not everything is spoken of in Revelation, some is in the NT and some prophecies also in the prophets from the OT. Also i can give you studies on the state of the dead, heaven and hell, the antichrist, and the great judgement -

Anyway hope this helps, God bless!!!

When you die, Jesus will judge you immediately.

If that goes well, you'll end up in heaven. If not, you be spending a lot of quality time with Satan.

If you're a Protestant who doesn't believe in Purgatory, you'll probably have to spend a little time there, just so you'll know the truth.

At the end of time, God will give everyone brand new glorified bodies, and then judge everyone who hasn't yet been judged.

We also expect Jesus to clue us in on things like exactly what Satan did, what kind of fruit Eve gave to Adam, whether Hitler and Stalin are really in hell or not .... and stuff like that.

All the people who die, will wait for the Judgement Day. It will only start when the God decides, there are some minor and major signs of the Judgement Day. One of the Major Signs being the Second Coming of the prophet Jesus (peace be upon him).

The Trumpet will be blown, and at once they will be sliding from their graves toward their Lord. (Quran: Surah Ya Sin, 51)

Please read the Judgement Day from Islamic Perspective here. The only difference between Christian and Islamic is that Islamic perspective is not altered, while Christian perspective has been corrupted. That is why you are confused while reading the bible.

Paul teaches that "to be absent from the body is to be present with Christ."

When we step out of our bodies, we step into the eternity we have chosen.

For those who have accepted Jesus as their Savior, that means we close our eyes, then open them at the rapture of the Church - instantly into eternity. We then step back into time with Jesus when He returns at the end of the Great Tribulation to judge the nations, and from there we have about 1000 years until the Bemus Seat judgment of the works of the believers.

For those who have rejected Christ, they will close their eyes here and open them at the Great White Throne judgment. For them, it will seem instantaneous.

My understanding is that if you die before the rapture, you are judged immediately, and sent to heaven or hell, if you die after the rapture you are "kept under the stairs" until the "end of the world" approx, 7 years after the rapture! Don't quote me on any of this, I hope it helps!

I think it's like this, ya get up there (hopefully), God hands you a drink, sits you down, and plays one of those cheesy 8mm films of your life, with "Remember when you did this ?, That, and this ? "what have you got to say for yorself" ? as you stand there ashamed, then he shows you a film of all the good things that you've done, you better hope it's a longer film than the 1st film !
