The word "sin" is only related to religious people. If it were not for religion, there wouldn't be so much emphasis on gays or lesbians. You're free to live your life as you choose. Ever notice how it is those same religious people that are also quick to judge others based on their race, belief, religion, and other interests that go against their own religion?

Oh no, not again!.
1. The book of Leviticus and the Koran state clearly that homosexuality is an abomination - rather worse than a sin. God destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah because all the population were queer.
So, if you are a Jew, Christian or mohommedan, it's definitely a sin.
2. Unlike the majority of apologists, I suggest that it is NOT a natural occurence in other mammals - the excuse usually sed to demonstrate that it's OK really. We only get told a half truth. Yes, some animals become homosexual, but, when the rest of the pack find out, they generally tear the queer to pieces - no wonder they don't tell people that part.
Perhaps the way to think about it (the practical aspect) is not to think of sexual practices but rather the thought of sticking part of your anatomy into what's coming the other way down part of somebody elses anatomy.
Despite insistence from the queer organisations, it's not a disease or genetic abnormality. It's simply a perversion (or deviation if you prefer) caused by lack of moral fibre and self control. So, being inclined towards homosexuality might not be a sin in itself but putting it into practice most definitely is.
It's also unnatural (and risky) behaviour because the human body is not designed for such activities as many homos indulge in. It presents a very high risk of infection with all the venereal diseases and also AIDS.
Finally, who said that god made anybody anyway? Aren't you making rather a large assumption there? If, however, he did, then maybe it's to see whether people with such temptations can rise above them.

If you are a christian and follows the bible by the book. Homosexual preference is a sin because you cannot obey the command go and multiple with homosexual sex.
But if your gay, and a christian. You are attracted to your own sex. But still married someone of the opposite sex and had offspring and became a good father/mother and mate. Being gay is not a sin.
Its the Homosexual sex that will be considered a sin.

Hi Tristan!! :o) I'm often amused [for lack of a better word] by how absolutely SURE so many people are. I'm gay and I'm ALSO a Christian - and I'm not SURE what God thinks of me being gay. But until I am sure [or at least far more sure than I am now] I will remain celibate. [As I have been for nearly a decade] I am not willing to distance myself from God for what amounts to a few MINUTES of 'fun'. It's an interesting thing - sex. Why aren't those who have had LOTS of sex - the happiest people in the world? Maybe sex isn't nearly as fulfilling as some would like us to believe. Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

The bible states in a few places that it's a sin. Sin is a Christian doctrine. Why would you worry about 'sin' if it is only mentioned in a book. No book or man can tell you what god wants. No book or person can tell you who and how many gods there are. We are all just telling you what we believe.

It is just biologically fucked up! If man was to get it on with their fellow man don't you think mankind would have been given the means to do so!
it is down to genetics, it is all in the genes, and the fact that is how a person is gay, it is not a sexual choice or preference it is instilled from conceiving because of genetics.
I myself cringe when I see men kissing each other as I find it such a waste being a woman, but hey that's life!

Being gay is only considdered a sin to those who believe in certain religious scriptures.
More open-minded people will not say it's a "sin". Sin is a word religious people use.
Other people might say they don't understand or that they don't condone it.
If you believe in God, then you should know the scriptures...and what those scriptures proclaim. Adam & Eve...etc.
There are those who say that certain passages in the Bible suggest that certain figures are also gay, though any believer will shout blasphemy.
If you're not a believer, why care what other people think/say? You are what you are...you do as you feel. You should never be something you don't want to be or feel/act like someone else tells you to.

BEING gay is not a sin. There's a difference between sexual orientation and sexual activity. A person can have a homosexual orientation but never act upon it. The issue isn't our identity but our actions. I've come to the conclusion that God intends for people with homosexual orientations to remain celibate, but that in no way means that they can't have a fully fulfilling relationship with Him. In fact, the issue isn't someone's sexual orientation, but where their focus is--are they focusing on themselves or on God, on what they want or what God wants for them? There are numerous Scripture verses that talk about chastity and self-control for heterosexuals outside of marriage, so I see absolutely nothing in Scripture that would make this not apply to heterosexuals as well. God loves gays just as He loves everyone else, but He wants them to seek Him and not themselves. I really don't think this is as complicated as we make it out to be.

It's not, not really. The Jews made it one of the sins because they wanted more and more children to be born. Gayness is created by the same God who created the het. crowd, they just think that anything else is sinful because it doesn't conform to their way of thinking.
What I don't get is why is it okay for some het. dude to drool over two women kissing or having sex and yet they turn their noses up and think it is disgusting when its two men? Seems like the hypocrasy of that is more sinful hmmm?

It is a sin because it is not apart of God's plan! God told Adam and Eve to go forth and multiply!
However, Because God sees all sin to be equal (no matter how bad they may seem) and everyone is a sinner, I am more concern for you to become a christian than to become straight. But if you are already a christian, I encourage you to put God first and leave sex till marriage but only to the opposite sex!
