The .50 in any incarnation, from M2 to M82, isn't a morale-destroyer. It's aviation that really scares the hell out of insurgents. Same with armor, when available.
And regardless of what weapon we use, their morale isn't so low that they stop fighting, it just drives them to avoid direct contact at all costs. Which, of course, loses them any chance of victory so long as Americans stay on course with the War on Terror, which is why they resort to gruesome spectacles such as kidnap, mutilation, beheadings etc. to get through to the weak-minded members of the public and have them fight the war of public opinion for the various terror movements.
Then the .50 becomes an inhuman weapon, one more proof to public opinion that we're on par with the Nazis. Makes for good footage though.

no it is not when the 50cal round breaks the sound barrier the bullet looses stability and starts to tumble. yes if it hits a person when it is tumbling it will rip them apart. but a 308 chandler or stock standard M40 sniper rifle is better for shooting people. not as heavy and more stealthy. the 50 is good to destroying the mind set of your enemy but it is hard to employ.

Here is the way terrorism works. You promise Heaven as their reward, use drugs such as heroin to cure their fear and strap a bomb to them while promising to take care of their family. Then they go somewhere and blow up. They have no intention of doing anything special on Earth since they aren't going to live that long.

or another way that terrorism works: put bush to lead the most powerfull country in the world and let him speak on tv about his "war against terrorists" and many ppl will belive him and follow him.this way u cant just plant a bomb u can actually ravage a whole country after another, preferably with oil.someone must pay for those used and tested weapons....guess who does this.
that weapon is godlike.no wonder that many young soldiers love their weapons....they will give anything to use them
